I bought 2. One in Medium and one in large. The large was too big but she will grow into it. She measured on the small end of the large. It was just too big that she could wiggle out of it if there was any slack. The medium fits her perfect. The large is in the teal. The medium is pink. The teal looks beautiful against her silvery gray coat. The pink looks like pink that someone took a dirty eraser to. Oh well. Fits like a glove. This harness is awesome! So easy to put on when a wiggly puppy has to pee at the crack of dawn.

I usually don't write reviews too soon after buying a product because one of the main things I think makes a good product is how well it holds up over time, which you couldn't possibly know in days or weeks. However, there was such varying review information over this product that I felt compelled to write one immediately. I almost ordered 2 of these vest harnesses in different sizes because 1/2 the reviewers said they run large while the other 1/2 said they run small. How is that possible to have such a split decision? The only thing I can think of is that 1/2 the people bought them for short hair dogs or dogs that recently had haircuts while the other 1/2 had dogs with 1970s sized afros. I went with the Medium size harness because my dog had outgrown her XS Top Paw harness by just a smidge and I thought there's no way she could jump up to a Large. While Voyager's sizes are far different from Top Paw's the logic was still right. I have a 14 pound Shia-poo (1/2 Shitzu, 1/2 poodle) that looks mostly Shitzu. The Medium sized harness fits her nicely and there's no doubt that she would have been swimming in the Large. Similarly, there's no doubt that a Small wouldn't have fit her at all. As far as fur goes, she got a haircut about 2 months ago but we do usually let her fur grow out during the Winter months. Luckily, there's enough adjustable give that she'll still be able to wear this harness comfortably even when sporting her Winter 'fro. One savvy reviewer said to pay more attention to the weight limits on Voyager's size chart. I basically agree but would probably suggest that if your dog is within 1 or 2 pounds of the upper limit on the chart then get the next size up. For example, the chart shows that size Small goes up to 15 pounds. Well there's no way that a Small would have fit my dog. Since my dog weighs 14 pounds I went up to a Medium and it fits perfect. I hope this helps. By the way, despite just receiving this product yesterday I believe it will hold up well. It looks and feels just like the Top Paw harness it replaces but cost less than 1/2.

When my 12 year old dachshund was having issues with a large bladder stone that caused her to leak urine and unable to control herself, I needed to put her in diapers. Surgery was not an option due to her heart. The diapers would not stay on. I decided if there was some way that I could keep it on with a Velcro strap and a harness that should work. I did a search and found this step in harness. It has literally saved her life. It got us through the worst of her stones issue (I believed that she finally passed it) and now she only wears a diaper at bedtime just in case of an accident. This harness is also great when we go for walks. She is hard to get a regular harness on because what dog wants to stand still and be patient when they know they are going for a ride or walk? I uploaded two pictures. One to show how I used it with the dog diaper and one of her sleeping for your entertainment! As you can she, it is very comfortable to her. I also bought a second one for my American Eskimo.

I have a fluffy dog and it’s hard to close the Velcro without getting her hair between the closures. It does hold shedded hair, which is hard to get off.

I’m so happy with this harness! It fits my dachshund perfectly and is very durable. I’ve had the most difficult time finding a harness that fits her shape and if you’re a dachshund owner you know that harnesses are really important because of how vulnerable their backs are to injury especially the older they get. I’ve found that the ones that clip are always too big or too small and the velcro harnesses that do fit, fasten under her belly which can easily come undone and also stretch over time. Then they become too loose to keep her protected or stop fastening all together. The Velcro on this harness fastens on top of her back and provides two loops from each side that you hook your leash to so even if the Velcro were to loosen over time she’s still protected. She’s a tweeny so she’s a little smaller than a full size but bigger than most small dogs. She weighs 14 pounds and her measurements are 12.5 in neck and 18 in chest. We followed the measuring chart which technically says she’s in between a medium and large but after reading the reviews from other owners with dachshunds we went with a medium and it fits perfectly! Highly recommend!

I purchased two of these (pink and blue) based upon the chest and neck measurements. The pink medium fit my 12 pound mini-Poodle but the blue medium was a little snug on my 20 pound schnoodle. Even though they both measured in the same range. The beauty of this harness is that it is super easy to get on and off. The dog just needs to step into it (or as my schnoodle likes to do - lie down on his back, belly up and then flips over so I can buckle it). The down side is there is no way to adjust the fit. There is a small patch of Velcro on top that you can technically move a bit but it doesn't allow for much wiggle room. Other than that, it feels super comfortable and lightweight. It can be difficult to get both of the clips on the top attached to the leash. Depends on the size of the clip on the leash and how much you have to adjust the Velcro to make it fit. Ideally, the Velcro would overlap completely so that the two clips are very close to each other but that allows for no size adjustment. I like this Harness so much I will be ordering a large for my schnoodle.

This harness is very well made,it fits my Cockapoo very well even though it’s a bit big so she can grow into it.It does not stop her pulling that is going to be down to training.I have not washed it yet but it seems like it would wash well,I would recommend.
