Murray's Edgewax Extreme Hold 4 OZ [2 PACK]

Absolutely love this product, exceeds expectations. Only negative comment I have is that once applied you must style quickly because it dries fast! But, will hold all day

Despite any critique I've seen of this hair wax, it was the first hair wax I was introduced to, and to this day, it is the best hold of any hair wax. Even the Murray's Strong Hold stuff is much stronger than any other hair wax or clay.The only product I've found, that's similar, would be American Crew, which advertises a "strong hold", but in comparison... it's an "okay hold".This stuff loses it's water content. So after a number of hours, you might need to wet or lick your fingers and run them through your hair a touch, to spring the wax back to life... who DOESN'T check the way they look from time to time? This isn't a serious issue.One thing that I'd love to see Murray's do is introduce Kaolin Clay into this very old recipe. It would create a Matte finish. I don't feel overly oily, but sometimes I don't like my hair being super shiny... that DOES sometimes make me think "maybe people think my hair is greasy"... but with Kaolin Clay, it'd get rid of the shine, and it would probably compliment it's hold strength, and I think that would fix the issue of "flaking" or turning waxy white in the hair. It's a natural conditioner... there are some Hair Clays that just use clay... and no wax. Hold Strength might be good... maybe I might need to add a touch of Mango or Sheaebutter or something, if it stiffens up too much.Kaolin Clay is used for spa treatment face masks. It's also used in Hair Wax and Hair Clay products... it's extremely healthy for the hair.Hell, I'm going to do that myself. Maybe I might like it better.I'm not too much of a fan of the ingredients. Most of them seem like a chemistry experiment. Then I read "Perfume (Parafum)" which means "Parabens". Yes, parabens have a natural fragrance. The company that produces this cancer causing preservative navigates by marketing itself as "fragrance" or "perfume"... rather than "cancer causing preservative".You can google it. Yes there's a debate surounding it. People posing arguments saying it causes cancer vs those that say it doesn't. It's like the age old debate about cigarettes... do they REALLY cause cancer?Yes.And this ingredient is in most of your body care and beauty products... as you try to take care of yourself, and be presentable, you're giving yourself cancer... ... ... sad.Anyhow... I'm just gonna use up the rest of this and make my own hair wax and hair clays. It's gonna be fun.

Great hold for everyday use for a pompadour or combed back hair

This was delivered on time . As expected they are good products.

Surprisingly nice hold, but could be stronger and last longer. It holds the stubborn hairs longer and smooths them better than gel. However, use gel on top of this product for more shine and a longer lasting more natural hold.

I have 3b hair and my edges stayed slicked down all day with one application. It’s very thick so the best way to apply it is by dipping your edge brush into the wax then applying to your edges. There was no white residue once I started sweating. Highly recommend for my natural hair girlies.
