Very pleased with my purchase and it’s quality for the dollar
Work fantastic. I got these at the same time I purchased a pair from Cornwell and a pair from snap on. These are literally the only pair that did not give me a headache of wallet ache. The Cornwell one literally broke on the first use, and so did its replacement. The snap on one was just insanely priced (as we all know.) Side note: if your left-handed like myself, flip them upside down.

Great for hobbyist. I'll never go back to razor blades.
This is a great, inexpensive cable stripper. I don't do electronics for a living, so this only gets called on a few times a month for small projects, mostly Arduino or RC multicopters. And for that job, the price is right and it's very functional. I've had no problems with wires as small as RC servo leads or as big as 16 AWG solid core. My one complaint is it's hard to be really precise about how much you're about to strip, because of the way the pulling head and cutting head move apart a little before they both engage. But on the other hand, this NEVER mangles the actual copper, which I did constantly when I was using a razor or gentle pressure with offset cutters. So it's a big step up from doing the job "by hand."

Very good quality!
The old wire strippers I had were about useless because they had been used so much and were old. I have always liked the automatic ones like these so I figured I'd give them a try. They showed up on time and I immediately tried them out on pieces of scrap wire that I had laying around and I love how easily and smoothly they work. I use them almost daily and have been using them like this for months now and they are showing no signs of wear and tear. I would recommend these to anybody.

Great when new, rips thin wires when worn out
They do the job very well and are thinner then most competition products. With constant use, either screws back out or springs make their escape. Once it starts to wear out, you start to rip thinner wires.

excellent tool to strip wire at open or tight space, so good i brought one then brought two more month after for my co-workers
i have been mechanic over 10 years, this is by far the best wire stripper i have ever used. wire stripper only, i prefer something else for crimping the wire. but still i give this tool 5 star tool is very easy to use, and get into some tight space, the stripper head is lot smaller then Irwin wire stripping tool with the same design, the Irwin one the head is very big, if you are trying to strip limited length wire or in very tight space that Irwin tool is nearly useless, with GS-394, i have no problem doing either task. it is very good, my co-workers used once and asked me to get one for them.

Great Stripper!
Who doesn't like a great stripper. This does what it says and does it well. It's a wire stripper and it strips wire easily. You won't be disappointed.

Does not work, very cheap.
Does not strip wire, crimping function destroys the connectors.

Order fulfiller keeps substituting a less expensive model
First off, the GS-394 is a good tool. I also have an older version with the original Milwaukee SE-94 model number that can strip #30 gauge wire. My main complaint and the reason for the low rating has to do with the company that is fulfilling the order for Gardner Bender. The company that is fulfilling the orders keeps sending the GS-395 which is a less expensive model by several dollars. The GS-395 model is not as effective at stripping wiring. I have reported them to Amazon and also contacted Gardner Bender about the substitution.

Love these things. Tighten the small screw near the strippers part once in a while. This is probably my 3rd pair.

Couldn't strip a banana if it tried.

Tried on a small wire first: the cutter just slipped without cutting the insulation off. I had a GB stripper of exactly the same design from around the year 2000 that worked great, until the cutter got chipped. Most of the parts on the new one have a slightly different shape; looks like GB has faked itself! The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the new cutter part fits the old tool, and now the old tool works great.
