Great batting helmet for an 11yo son.
I was worried since my 11yo son has a big head, but this size fits him perfectly. He says it is comfortable while being tight enough to provide protection. The color is great to match all uniforms. And the padding seems nice, I hope we don’t find out what happens if he gets hit in the head.

Fits our 7-year-old
Our son is 7, will be 8 in less than 2 months. His head is a little larger than average for his age. He didn't have his own batting helmet for baseball for the last two seasons, so used communal ones shared by the team. Most of them were too tight on him, so I sized up to one made for kids a little older (size 6 1/2 - 7 1/2). This move paid off. This helmet has some room to grow into, yet it stays in one place and doesn't shift around. The padding is thick and comfortable, yet it can really be compressed. There is a button and a couple of holes on either side for attaching a face guard. The decal on the front, below the Rawlings logo, can be peeled off. Definitely a good batting helmet for kids of many ages.

Nice Helmut But Not As Pictured
I purchased this batting helmet for my special needs son, thinking that it would be flat-black in color, as pictured. What I received was a gloss-black product. Not really a big deal, but I prefer to receive things I was under the impression that I had bought.

My 4 year old t-baller has a large head and this fit him perfectly. This is a great brand. The color and the durability have been great. *we tried on at academy and bought through this vender. I'm glad we brought from this vender because it was the same item quality but a better price point. Great overall buy. I would buy this helmet again.
