Buy when receive low toner message. Wait to install until printer says to replace cartridge.
We bought this as soon as we received messages that toner was low. We did not replace the initial toner, even though it had low toner message, until it said that toner needed to be replaced. At that point, we installed the new toner we had waiting.Somewhat surprising to me was that the quality of the print did not get worse when pages were printed in the low toner mode. Every page was dark and clear until we got the you must install new toner now message.

"H" cartridge won't fit all printers.
Make sure the "H" will fit your printer. It isn't the same shape as the regular cartridge.

You have to go with original OEM
Having tried aftermarket toner, they all end up, creating a mess inside of your laser, printer with streaks, etc. Had to completely clean out all of my laser prisoners for my business because of it. Will never go with anything but OEM again even though it’s more expensive. The non-OEM versions never last as long as the real thing! Your printer will last forever using OEM

Pay Attention to the CANON Hologram
When I received the Toner Cartridge, the CANON Hologram looked funny, and the printed part of the hologram label had been cut off. I scanned the hologram at high-resolution (see image) and noted that the hologram was heavily damaged, although the CANON box appeared to be in pristine condition. Also, when viewed at a specific angle, several multiple-colored sinewave images should appear in the hologram. Those sinewave images should only appear at one specific angle of view and be invisible at all other angles of view. NONE were apparent, no matter what angle I viewed the hologram from! The Toner was sold by "ink-shop" and fulfilled by Amazon.I requested a return and refund from Amazon and Amazon immediately authorized the return. I received my refund quickly. Thank you for the good customer service, Amazon!If you order --- pay VERY CLOSE attention to the hologram!
