Dumpling Soup Paperback – Picture Book, April 1, 1998

This is a book that every child (and adult) should read. It tells the story of a little girl and her diverse family which incudes many different ethnic groups. Each person's uniqueness is celebrated and shared. A truly beautiful story of what it means to be included and accepted. Highly recommended.

This is a great memoir to read!

Lovely book celebrating Korean culture and family. My five year old loved it. Only complaint is that the book arrived bent and wrinkled (paperback version).

The kids in my class really love this book and have learned a lot from it

A gentle, prettily illustrated portrayal of a racially mixed family in Hawaii. The book depicts several generations of a family getting together at the matriarch's house to celebrate the New Year. My preschooler particularly liked the fact that the protagonist of the book, a little girl named Marisa, was participating in making the dumplings.

Lovely story of a multicultural Asian family celebrating a mish-mash of different new year's traditions in Hawaii.
