Works better than I expected and allows me to park really close
This sensor attaches it self to the garage door's rail with the provided mount. The mount does not require any tools as you just need to push it in place and the sensor stays in place. To remove, just use a flat screw driver to push up the tabs. The sensor is easy to remove from the mount for battery replacements. It uses 4 AA batteries and there is NO USB option for it. Setup is easy and I just parked my car closer than what I need, clicked the button once to set the distance, then park away. The response is not super fast or super slow, so it responds fast enough when parking a car at slow speed. So far, I have been able to park my car extremely close to items with no issues. It has green, yellow, flashing yellow and red alerts. The red alert emits a tone. I park my car on using the flashing yellow. How good is it? I purchased another one.

Perfect for a tight fit
Works great for parking close to a wall and accuracy is within an inch. The supplied adhesive strips aren’t great so I replaced them with Command Strips

Not quite as described.
I bought this to install in my home garage to make sure I don't hit my car roof on garage ceiling when using me car lift. STKR website specs state:"Set parking distance anywhere from 6 inches to 6 feet"Instructions with unit say 1 ft to 4 ft. Contacting STKR to see what up I need it to be at 6" will update. If not this thing is going back, really disappointed with STKR misleading people.Easy to installUse 4x AA batteries or USB powerWell i did hear back and the Grey & Black models work 6" to 6' while while does 1' to 4'. I was happy with there support, quick to respond to all my questions. I splice in 9ft of wire from senor to warning light and then mounted it to my ceiling joist and then stuck 2 magnets to the back of the warning light and stuck it on my car lift by the lever to lift car up or down. Works great not having to worry about hitting the trusses when lifting any vehicle. I am using usb power.

Product Works, But the Seller Doesn’t
Review:This review is not about the product itself. I’ve been using the same device for over a year and it performs exactly as advertised. I use rechargeable batteries and replace them weekly with no issues. The product is reliable and does the job well. However, my complaint is with the seller. I received the package in a sealed envelope with a label indicating it was new and ready for sale. But upon opening it, I discovered that the manufacturer’s packaging had already been opened. The device showed visible signs of prior use, including scratches and remnants of adhesive tape on the back.I paid full price expecting a brand new item, not something that looked like it belonged in a recycling bin. The fact that it was resealed and shipped as new is a serious breach of trust. There was also a note on the store page saying “only one left,” which leads me to believe this very item—used and repackaged—was passed off as new. This kind of deceptive practice shows an alarming disregard for the customer. I strongly recommend avoiding this seller due to the lack of transparency and respect for buyers.

Just what I needed!!
I was going to do the tennis ball thing but thought there had to be something more technical but affordable and this is definitely that! It works very well & didn't break the bank. You should definitely use the power port on the side rather than batteries as they do not last long. If it is a tight squeeze in your garage you may have to get a little creative with the positioning of the sensor eye. I literally have to get my bumper within one inch of my workbench to fit my truck. The closest you can use this is 12 inches, so instead of using the sensor on my bumper, I positioned it to sense the tailgate of my truck & placed the sensor on top of my workbench to give me the 12 inches I needed.

Makes parking a breeze - with or without the bike rack attached.
This is definitely a first-world problem, but parking the car in the garage varies dramatically between a bike rack and bikes fitted to the car vs. not. When the bikes are on the car's rear tow hitch, the car needs to be around 3 feet further forward in the garage to clear the door. A neighbor showed me this device and I immediately purchased one as they were on sale. It seems well-made and was very simple to install using the supplied Velcro for the main unit and the sensor below. There are two options for powering the unit, either 4 x AA batteries or via a USB cable. The unit is not supplied with a USB cable or power supply but most households now have a kitchen junk drawer that has plenty of these from other products. And if not they are readily available to buy at a low cost. I connect mine via the USB cable as there is an outlet close to where the unit was fitted. Setting up the parking distance is a simple case of pressing the red button on the front. I have it calibrated so I can easily judge the ideal parking distance for when the bikes are on the car, or not. Not sure how long the Velcro will stay stuck as the garage is hot during the summer but so far its staying put. Overall a great purchase.
