GLENCAIRN Whiskey and Gin Mixer Glass in Gift Carton, Set of 2

If you're just knocking 'em back then you might as well make due with the dollar store variety drinking vessel. But if you enjoy sipping a premium scotch, bourbon or blended whiskey, this glass greatly adds to the experience.Because of the angle from which the photo of the glass was taken, it's difficult to accurately judge the size. To my eye, the photo makes it appear larger than it actually is. The glass stands 4 inches high. The base is 2-1/2" in diameter. At the widest point at the bottom it is just about 3" in diameter. The top narrows to about 2-1/4" at the neck then widens to about 2-1/2" across. It's designed to concentrate the aroma of the whiskey in the lower portion of the glass then allow it to open up for "nosing." The bottom is nicely weighted so that, combined with its squat design, it'll be difficult to accidentally knock this glass over if you've imbibed a wee bit too much.The base displays an etched maple leaf, which personally doesn't bother me as it does another reviewer. Perhaps this is because my glass frequently contains Canadian blended whiskey as well as scotch. Our set of two glasses arrived in short order and in perfect condition. My wife and I don't use these glasses every day, and when we do, I prefer to wash them by hand even though I think they would be fine in the dishwasher. We are quite satisfied with our purchase.

It’s has that classic Glencairn tulip shape, but is just bigger giving it more versatility. Works neat, on the rocks, even for a cocktail. It’s still delicate/elegant but has a nice weight to it.

These glasses are an excellent option for liquor consumption. They have good heft, are gorgeous and their design makes it easy to sniff, add ice or just hold and warm up the whisky a little. Also, the mouth is wide enough to wash with normal dish sponge, so keeping them clean is a breeze. Well priced for the quality of product. My set had the maple leaf etched into the bottom (July 2018).

Light, well balanced, and a beautiful shape. Easy to hold. My brother is not a stem-fan, as he tends to knock them over. So, my stemmed crystal is hardly ever used. These glasses are perfect for the both of us combining stability and style.

These glasses are great. They concentrate the nose. This can sometimes be an issue with some spirits as it will be hot in the nose but you just have to go easy on the sniffing. Good size and heft to glass. Seem durable. I think they look great. You may or may not like the maple leaf etched on underside. I have 5 different sets of spirit glasses and these are my go-to, especially for the good stuff.

great all around whiskey/whisky glass, perfect for tasting and nosing and also for a good stiff pour! The mouth is wider than a traditional glencairn so you can throw in a rock or two if that's what you like. I also love that these don't have a stem at the bottom so they're much more stable. I have several special glasses but these are buy far my favorite!

I bought these really excited since I prefer all my scotch with ice, ideally a giant rock unfortunately the mouth of this glass is still too small to fully enjoy that. still beautiful though

Works great for whiskey, cocktails that are bright in flavor like daisies/sours, and iced lattes.
