Nerf Modulus Distance Scope Upgrade

I am so glad that Nerf has decided to make a line of guns that you can make to your liking. The modulus line is great and the best part is that most of the attachments that they are making will fit almost every gun that nerf makes, hence the purchasing of this Scope for my sons guns he has been begging me for a Nerf scope for a long time and now you can purchase them separately.My 6 year old is a Nerf fanatic and can not get enough of his nerf guns it would be easier probably to make a list of guns that he doesn't have then a list of the ones that he does have, and this scope works great for any gun that has a rail to support it. A rail is that part that this scope slides onto most nerf guns have a top rail on the gun so you don't have to worry about it.I have nothing negative to say about this scope, honestly I mean it is a child's toy so it isn't a scope that has glass or anything in it, it really is just 2 different circle and crosshairs to make it look like it is a scope no zoom or anything high tech like that but it is nerf, not nikon. Just keep expectations real.The things I love the most about this scope/ attachment:1. It fits all of my sons guns ALL of them, he even has little 2 shooter guns that this looks ridiculous on but fits them perfect.2. It stays on the gun itself if you tip it forward the only thing that you have to worry about is the darts falling out the front, there is a locking mechanism that keeps that attachments including this scope in place it is awesome to have.3. The plastic as normal with any nerf gun is outstanding and made to last. This scope has been hit, smacked, dropped, stepped on, you name it, it has probably done by my six year old and it is upholding all of the abuse very very well. No bends, breaks, malfunction of any kind. It will last for quite awhile.4. The scope is actually pretty accurate in retrospect. I mean it isn't going to get you dead on everytime depending on the gun that you are using I have noticed that the smaller guns are way more accurate than the bigger guns anyways but this helps kinda direct where you are shooting over all. Once again do not expect this to be a real scope there are no lenses it's nerf not nikon.5. I love the colors they meet all the regulations for major nerf competitions and groups. This is great that you can use these in comps my son and I have started a Nerf group in our area and are hosting our first nerf wars this summer, and this scope can be used for the competition.I have to say that all in all this is a perfect asset to anyone's collection and the perfect accessory for all the nerf guns we can wait to try out more of the modulus line to see what else it has in store for us over all.

After reading other reviews I was concerned with people saying this wasn't a "real" scope and had no functionality to it. I'm not sure what they got but when I was looking for a new upgrade to my nerf modules I knew this was a must have. First, the packaging is great. Nothing says discreet like a plain brown box. Last thing I need is some snot nosed neighbor kid seeing my new upgrade and swiping it off my porch before I get to test it out. Once I attached this bad boy to my modules I could tell right away my sniping game improved drastically. I'm not sure what magnifying power it has, but let's just say no one stands a chance against me. I've started only taking one dart per person playing against and I haven't lost yet. I think my longest hit has been at least 1000 yards away. Let's face it, after an 800 yard shot it's just bragging anyway. If your considering this purchase, don't wait. Buy it. It will step your game up instantly just by owning it.(FYI it magnifys nothing, but looks cool and my son likes it)

It works well, but it doesn't zoom in. Otherwise, I think it is a perfect toy. I like that it fits on the Nerf N-Strike Elite pistol. It kind of helps aiming because of the cross and the circle in the middle.

I was pleasantly surprised when this came in to see that Hasbro ditched the silly green paint on the scope (at least on the one I received). I figured this scope would look great on my whiteout longstrike, but I knew I'd have to paint that silly green stripe. Luckily I received one with an orange stripe instead! I didn't have to paint it to go with the longstrike! I know I have it backwards in the pictures, as that's the only way it snaps in. I'll need to find a way to make it snap in the correct direction, but it looks great with the whiteout.

This scope does its job. It fits on any Nerf tactical rail. However, this is supposed to be a scope. This scope has a cross and a circle in the middle, which looks pretty good until you realize that they're oversized and should be much thinner. Not only that, but this scope does not zoom at all and has a slight distortion around it. I have to say its usefulness would be a 2/5 but for aesthetic on a sniper (ex. the Alphahawk) it looks really cool and gets a 5/5 in that regard. Overall, I would, for any Nerf gun that isn't a sniper rifle, get a sight rather than this.

Great. It looks cool but it has no actual scope functionality. Just some plastic in the form of an "x"

I get that the whole Modulus line is all abt interchangeable parts. This distance scope is a joke. It would have taken nothing for nerf to actually put a cheap lens in here that actually worked. This is for show only. Kid was ticked off.

I've found that when paired with the Nerf MEGA Centurion, this provides decent accuracy and fun. I've played a few rounds w/ my brothers, and it goes well with that gun. Doesn't work as well with others.
