OK, I admit it...I'm a skeptic when it comes to all the "oooh and ahh" about essential oils. I've had friends swear by all the "big names" but never really bought that they did anything more than smell nice. I actually bought this set because I wanted the "Health Shield" oil which smells like "thieves" -- a spicy, cinnamonish smell. The reason I'm reviewing, however is the "Head Ease." Last week I woke up with an awful headache I knew I needed serious meds, but didn't want to take them on an empty stomach and had to run an early morning errand before I could eat and medicate. On my way out the door, this boxed set caught my eye. I figured a little bit of oil couldn't hurt, and laughingly thought it might actually help. I rubbed a few drops of head ease on my temples and hit the road...within about 2 minutes I noticed a marked improvement in the headache. It wasn't GONE but it was significantly reduced -- to the point that when I got home I decided I didn't even need the meds I originally planned to take. I'm a skeptic, though, remember? So I chalked it up to the power of suggestion or some kind of fluke and went on with my day. Around noon, after working outside in the heat for awhile, I came inside and washed my face and neck. Within minutes I realized the headache had come back full force and reached for medicine -- then stopped. Wait a minute. I put the oil on my temples -- the headache stopped. I washed the oil off -- the headache came back. No way...I have to try this again. I put a few drops on my temples again -- again, within 5 minutes the headache was markedly improved...and I was sold. I'm a convert. Now..that said : Breathe -- a nice spearmint/eucalyptus smell -- works well in a diffuser to open sinuses, I guess -- or make the room smell fresh. Good Night -- one of my favorites - a true lavender scent. I can't say it's a magical sleep drug, but it smells nice. I don't have problems sleeping generally, and this certainly doesn't hurt. Head Ease -- Miracle oil. I'd buy it just for this single bottle. Muscle Relief -- I haven't used it, but my gymnast daughter has used a few drops mixed in olive oil and says it made a noticeable difference in her sore muscles. It smells a lot like icy hot Stress Relief - it's a "masculine" scent if that makes sense -- Bergamot and patchouli. Smells kind of medical...I'm not sure how or where to use it... Health Shield -- this is the one I actually bought the set for-- The scent is cinnamon and clove, with a touch of eucalyptus to make it more penetrating. It's smells like "fall." Disclaimer -- I know a number of people have said they received broken bottles. I ordered a bottle of health shield separately first, and it did arrive broken -- basically the flat very top of the bottle just broke right off. That's how I knew I liked the smell, but ordered this set instead of the single bottle. Mine arrived just fine -- the bottles on cotton inside of a box wrapped in bubble wrap. Hopefully that means they've adjusted the shipping to prevent breakage. From my experience -- I would DEFINITELY recommend this set.

I Love this best blends set of six oils. My set arrived in great condition, no broken caps or leaked oils. I purchased this set because I currently use Health Shield and it was a better value to buy this set than one oil individually. I have been using Health Shield mixed with castor oil on my feet every night before bed for 18 months now and I have not been sick or even had a cold this whole time! This is rare for me as I work very closely with people and usually get sick several times a year. I swear by Health Shield and cannot live without it. To me is smells a bit like spices, maybe like Christmas is that has a smell. I have now been putting stress relief on my wrists twice a day. The scent lasts for hours. I struggle with anxiety and every time I feel stressed or anxious I take a few seconds to breath the scent and relax. This might be my new favorite. I use the Good night in a spritz bottle on my pillow before bed. It does help me sleep. I have use the Head Ease on my temples for headaches. It really works! This one is a bit strong to use directly on the skin, I recommend adding a carrier oil to the ones that contain peppermint etc. I haven't tried all the other oils yet. I do feel these all have a bit of a medicinal scent. To me that is therapeutic but might not be nice to others. They are definitely not "pretty" scents to use as perfumes or air fresheners. The bottles have plastic stoppers in the top with a hole for dispensing. It is hard to get just one drop, but they work well if you don't mind it coming out fast sometimes. I highly recommend these oils. I feel they are good quality, actually work, and a good price for the size of bottles. I will be buying these again.

I've really enjoyed experimenting with essential oils for anxiety and depression management. I don't believe all the claims about essential oils being able to cure physical ailments, but pleasant scents that relax me are really all I was looking to get out of essential oils, and that's what Healing Solutions has always delivered to me. I know many of the complaints state that they are not really 100% pure and therapeutic, and I cannot state whether they are or aren't, but whatever these oils are, 100% or mixed with carrier oils, they are exactly what I need. The scents: Stress Relief is a great scent that I've bought separately since using it up from this set. The patchouli is fairly obvious in it, as well as a slight citrus scent from the blood orange, so beware if you don't like those things. Good Night has chamomile, lavender, and some other typical scents known for sleep, but it does smell slightly spicy (maybe? not sweet) but I love it and use it in my diffuser or humidifier while I sleep often. Deep Muscle feels great mixed with a carrier oil and rubbed into shoulders or legs, especially after a workout. Breathe is nice, but I don't use it often. Health Shield. So I have really sensitive skin on my face. I was very sick and I was just so fed up with it and I thought I'd just mix a tiny bit with some jojoba oil and put it on my face and see if it helped. Well, it burned. My face turned bright red and felt like it was on fire, and even though I washed it immediately and kept a cool towel on it, the pain lasted quite a while until I finally had to just put plain greek yogurt on it. So, just take caution if you plan on putting it on your face! The scent is strong and I think it would be better suited to just dab a little bit near your nose or something like that. Head Ease is fine, it has many of the same scents as other blends like lavender, peppermint, and sweet orange, so it's a nice scent, there are just others I like more. Overall, I think this is a great set, especially if it's your first time using essential oils.

Bought mine from PTC seller and both this set and the mother's day set, included bottles that were leak free and all had their temper proof cap still intact. I have only opened breathe & the headache one from this set and both smell fresh and not rancid/etc. scents are in the mid range plus on strength to my nose and i find them quite acceptable for diffusing/candle making/etc. (not in same room as cats though!). Personally i vowed to only buy young living oils after getting not so great other brands but, the overall good reviews on these oils made me decide to choose these for 'non' skin use. I bought a cute quarter size oil diffusing necklace locket and put 4-5 drops on cotton pad and i can still smell 'breathe' coming out of the locket over 4 hours later so these fragrant oils are pretty good to me. Not ever going to use this brand in my facial creams/cleansers/etc. though but, the quality seems good for supposably not being true oils (believe they were tested as being synthetic??) so i will probably stop using my more pricey YL oils and start using healing solutions to make some of my hair & body DIY lotions/etc. now. As for beathe, it smells good and i really like the scent but, honestly i can not say its helping my allergy like congestion any, so far at least. i do kinda find that odd since it has eucalyptus in it and when i simply sniff from my eucalyptus oil bottle (from now) a couple times, it clears my nose up decently and often stops my nose from getting congested badly/boogery the majority of the time.

So far I've tried all but two -- deep muscle and good sleep -- I'm sure they're great, I just haven't used them because I'm currently using a different good sleep kind and the deep muscle I just haven't yet. The other are fantastic, you can tell it is a concentrated oil so in my little 150ml diffuser I literally only need like 5-6 drops because I like a strong scent sometimes since the house is 2 stories but honestly 3-4 would suffice. The headache relief (Head Ease) one really does work!--That was actually the main reason I bought this set after reading someone else's review on that one. The headache one smells minty, which I like and in doing research have noticed helps especially the peppermint, wintergreen, rosemary, lavender, and frankincense in it which I have bought before just on its own individually for my headaches. I suffer from migraines and stress since I work full-time at a difficult company and I am also an MBA student trying to survive. My two most used so far have been the head relief, stress relief, and breathe. This is a great set that targets just about all my main concerns. The Health shield is interesting, not quite sure if its helping or not but today with sore throat from being around a sick friend I am using it -- this one I smell the cinnamon the most. After a long day at work I love to start the aromatherapy with stress relief while I enjoy my dinner or if I watch a little TV if I can. Breathe can be great in the morning time just before work too to kind of just help get you in a good mood lowering anxiety but can be mixed with any others too, I've mixed it with the Stress Relief. / Overall great buy, no regrets. Head Ease - French Lavender, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Basil, Frankincense, Rosemary, Sweet Marjoram, Sweet Orange. Health Shield - Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Rosemary. Breathe - Peppermint, Rosemary, Lemon, Eucalyptus. Stress Relief - Bergamot, Patchouli, Blood Orange, Ylang Ylang, Grapefruit. Good Night - Chamomile, Clary Sage, Copaiba, Lavender, Peru Balsam, Sandalwood, Sweet Marjoram, Ylang Ylang. Deep Muscle - Wintergreen, Peppermint, Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Camphor.

I made this purchase as a less expensive introduction to these oils. I have since use some other brands also. These oils have a nice mild fragrance, not as strong as higher priced Frankincense and myrrh, but sufficient for use in a diffuser. Together, in a diffuser, they make a pleasant room refresher that also hopefully has some beneficial health properties. I did have an issue with the bottles. I general, I do not like this top of drip top and it does not allow for controlled use of the oils. These tops are particularly bad. The top on the Myrrh did not work at all. I tried opening it with a pin and removing the plastic top and cleaning it. I never did get it to work and had to pull the plastic drip top off to use it at all. This was not as bad as the other bottle though. The Frankincense bottle drip top just allowed the oil to pour out, which was not pleasant the first time I tried to use It and it poured way more out than I wanted. All in all, the oils are fine entry level oils to use with your own bottles or application methods.

I could not be more pleased with this essential oil set. It literally has a blended scent for every need I have! Here is a list of the included oils, and my personal experience/opinion on each: **Good Night is one of my favorites to use in my bedroom diffuser - the scent is pleasant and really does help to create a peaceful and calm feeling to allow you to easily drift off to sleep. I use this scent every night and since I have started, I have found that I fall asleep faster, do not wake up in the middle of the night and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world! **Stress Relief is another of my favorites - this is my go-to oil when I am practicing yoga or meditating. The scent is lovely, not overpowering, and reminds me of the flower garden I had growing up in the backyard. Whenever my anxiety levels start to rise, instead of taking a Xanax, I turn on this scent in my diffuser and focus on my breathing - it has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I love it. **Head Ease is another oil I use quite frequently. I work at a desk job where I stare at a computer screen for 8+ hours a day, which often triggers painful and long-last headaches. This aroma is relaxing but not faint (at the same time, it is not so strong where it is too much or overpowering). I sometimes mix Head Ease with Stress Relief for those days at work when I am struggling to get through the day - my necklace diffuser has saved me from leaving work early many times now, as it has allowed me to feel better and push through the negative energy that often flows around this office. **Breathe has a scent that is very similar to the Vapo Rub that we all know from childhood (my mom used to *slather* that stuff on me whenever I so much as sniffled!) but this scent is more pleasant, less harsh than the actual Vapo Rub itself. Last week I felt the beginnings of a cold coming on, so I used a few drops of this in my necklace diffuser and by the time I went to bed - I was breathing clear and easy again. I have also used this in the bedroom diffuser when one of my kids is not feeling well - it really does work wonderfully. **Deep Muscle is my absolute favorite oil for post workout pains. I would love to be able to afford massages weekly, but alas - that isn't going to happen. I *loathe* the smell of IcyHot and Bengay - it makes me want to gag. Deep Muscle has a very pleasant peppermint smell and in addition to rubbing this on my temples to help me feel awake and alert...this also works great as a rub. I use fractionated coconut oil as a carrier oil, and mix about 3-4 drops of Deep Muscle with it (a little of these oils goes a long way - which is one of the many reasons this is such a great value set!) I use this rub combination my shoulders, knees and my feet and ankles, which are often the most sore areas after a particular intense workout. It is so soothing and I am able to relax and unwind so much quicker and those annoying aches and pains dissipate within 15 minutes. I no longer have to ice my knees and ankles after working out - which is so absolutely amazing to me! **Health Shield's scent reminds me of spiced apple cinnamon or spiced apple cider. The scent of this oil automatically takes me back to memories of my late grandmother's kitchen, while she was baking so many delicious desserts. I occasionally mix a few drops of Health Shield along with Breathe, when I really want to knock out any potential illness - especially since a lot of my co-workers insist on coming to the office when they have disgusting coughs, sniffles and who knows whatever else! I have seen other oil sets for easily double or triple the price of this set, and honestly, I could not be happier with this product. Once this supply runs out (which will take awhile, as you don't need to use a lot and the bottles will last for quite some time) I will definitely be purchasing more. Essential oils have become an integral part of my daily life and I feel so much better overall since I have started using them. If you are looking for a well-balanced set for great value, you don't need to look any further - this set is sure to amaze you! Five stars - I highly recommend this product!

I love these oils! I started with stress relief in a desperate attempt to have some in my life during a crazy time. The first thing I did was put a drop on my car air vent. I noticed, to my surprise, that I was relaxed while driving. Then I started putting a few drops on a cotton pad and carrying it in my pocket when I knew I was going to do something that typically stresses me out. I literally noticed an improvement in the outcome of projects created while having this stress-relieving oil on me. So then I started telling others about it. I have lots of friends that now benefit from it as well! I then bought Joy. It's so uplifting. It works just as I'd hoped! Not every day is automatically filled with happiness, so on days that are a little more blue than others, it's a great little pick me up. Next, I added Health to my collection and swear by it! I am a substitute teacher which means I am exposed to hundreds of different students week. I have not been sick once this year. I have had days that I came home feeling as though a cold was coming on, but I just sleep with this oil in the diffuser overnight and feel brand new in the morning. Again, I've told others and they have had the same spectacular results! When I wanted to buy a bottle of Breathe to help with my husband's snoring, I decided just to get a whole set because it was so economical. Sometimes he remembers to put it on his wrists, or even his chin before he goes to sleep. But when he doesn't, and the ruckus he generates prevents me from falling asleep, I just put a few drops on his pillow and within minutes, we have peace! I also like to put this one on the bottom of my kids' feet when they are struggling with coughs stemming from their allergies. I just can't say enough about this set! I have now purchased three for myself and at least that many as gifts. I highly recommend you try them and decide for yourself.
