Very happy with it.
The unit itself is very nice it has a nice gray color with the wood grain. Very sturdy, took 3.5 hours to assemble. Pretty sure there was 22 different pages of instructions, if you can get past that it's great value for your dollar. The fireplace unit is not very large but it does heat a decent size room nicely. There is also no way to change the temperature (hi or low) on the fireplace, also no remote for it. You just click a button to turn the fireplace on and then another one to turn the heat on along with it. The shelves are very roomy can hold a lot of items and very deep. Over all very happy with this product just wish it came with a remote and some sort of way to turn the heat low or high. Would recommend.

Very nice simple TV stand.
Fireplace stand is nice and steady, assembly wasn't bad about 2 hours with breaks. Very modern and plain nothing to fancy but for the price its worth it. Some pieces came chipped and scratched but luckily it's was on the back side not noticeable, After a clean down with furniture polish it's beautiful. Fireplace is nice no remote though, but it only has two functions Power on and heat with or without the light function or Fireplace light on by itself.

Heats up living room and looks good!
Relatively easy to put together. Instructions are clear but it definitely requires patience and 2 people. This does a great job heating up my living room and it looks so good! Wouldn’t recommend buying it full price since it’s not top quality so keep an eye out for a sale! Love it!

Tradeoffs, but solid value
There is no point in comparing a $183 piece of furniture against a $1,000 piece. So, if you are expecting hardwood instead of particle board and absolute precision, then this is not for you.As far as cheap furniture goes:* The instructions were surprisingly good.* There were no missing screws or pieces which can completely derail an afternoon of assembly.* It was well packed with plenty of foam. Still, one of the boards had fringe cracks, which I suspect came from the factory and not UPS given, again, how well it was actually packed.* Two pieces had the pre-drilled holes about 1/4" off, which if you have assembled cheap furniture before means you will need to either re-drill them, hit things with a hammer and hope you don't damage anything, or have a fat guy sit on it and hope it moves it enough without breaking. Because of this, it doesn't pass the "could my wife assemble this on her own?" test.* I assembled it while drinking beers by myself, but a second person would certainly help.Once assembled, the wife loves it. The fake fireplace is obviously not a replacement for a real fireplace. But it certainly adds to the room's aesthetics in a positive way, and the fake fireplace provides a pleasing/romantic night light. As an entertainment center, it's fully functional. The fireplace/heater does take away a good chunk of the center area, which could be detrimental for trying to run a center speaker - especially if you are not wall mounting the TV. But that should be expected giving its design.Overall, it was money well spent. Just keep your expectations inline with what you are purchasing.

Nice!
Nice Fireplace. This is not high end but good value for the purchase price! The box arrived with one broken shelf. I called customer service and they sent a replacement, which arrived in a week. After reading some of the reviews, I chose the expert assembly arranged by Amazon. If you choose this option there were limited selections on appointment dates and times. Worth the wait to not have to deal with putting the stand together myself. It took the installer about an hour and a half. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Looks FANATIC but limited features for the price
Purchase this product because it came in the exact Gray finish I was looking for. The color is spot on with the room décor and exactly what I wanted esthetically.Pros - I like that the unit comes with a heater bower that will make the room nice and cozy during cold Chicago winters. The flames are realistic looking and can be displayed with or without the heading element. Although it's not real wood, it's very solid and sturdy.Cons - after comparing with other fireplace TV stands available on Amazon, I was disappointed that this unit did NOT come with the same "bells and whistles" as others: no remote control, no high/ low setting for the heater blower, and you can't change the color of the flames.Overall, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Great looking unit but overpriced given the limited features. I knocked off a star for lack of features and another star for price/value.* Delivery/assembly - After reading numerous reviews about how time consuming and difficult it was to assemble, I opted to pay for assembly through Amazon. It it was money well spent! The guys arrived on time, were friendly, polite, respectful and responsible of the space. They inspected for damage, inventoried that all parts were included, completed assembly in about an hour, and removed/disposed of all packaging materials.

Very Disappointed
Bought this awesomely bad TV stand as a Christmas gift for my Mother. I now hold the Family record for “Worst Christmas Gift Ever”.When I opened the box and started pulling out parts, I noticed a piece of trim was broken off at the end. Funny thing is, the broken piece was not in the box. So that means someone put it in the box broken. I also found that part “J” has a hole it. I’m assuming this was due to someone or a machine drilling all the way though when they were drilling the pilot holes on the other side. The pilot holes that part #A22910 goes into DO NOT are way to small for the screws and using a screw driver will not work. The connector bolts (part #A22910) DO NOT fit Securely into the connector (part# A22920). Even with the connector bolts screwed all the way in, you’ll still have gaps between the pieces of wood.If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the first and last item I’ll ever buy from Ameriwood Home. If you’re going to buy from them, buy with caution and have clamps and gorilla glue at the ready
