What really is lost with a physical border wall
This video, now several years old educates, informs the viewer what could be lost with a physical border wall along the Rio Grande. Those of you not from Texas will be surprised and amazed at the wilderness along most of the Rio Grande, including massive canyons impossible to cross. If you have any regard for natural country beauty and wildlife then you'll be hard pressed to agree that a physical wall is the solution to our southern border immigration issues. Don't miss this

Knowledge is power
This documentary is the absolute best to really see what the wall will do and not do. VERY informative. I was all for it until I watched this. A must see!

Our beautiful Texas, Our Beautiful River
It's easy to think of the border as just an imaginary line, some creek way out there in the desert. The truth couldn't be any more different. The Rio Grande carves canyons of stunning beauty, snakes in valleys teeming with wildlife, eventually emptying in the perfection of the gulf. It's an asset, a beautiful, stunning god-given birthright for all Texans. It is under threat. A border wall threatens our access to the recreation, beauty, and wild nature that the Rio Grande has to offer. It stands to waste an immense amount of precious taxpayer dollars to ultimately accomplish very little- as drugs and weapons already pour through legal points of entry, and as most illegal immigration comes from overstays of visas, not from crossing the border out in the frontier.Watch this movie to experience the beauty of Texas. If you're anything like me, you'll get to the end and feel the need to drive south ASAP, to experience what our children may be deprived of.

America the Beautiful, what about the hardest hit?
This film shows the most beautiful portions of our border between Texas and Mexico and brings needed perspective to a border wall debate. However, it neglects to show even passing footage of the areas hardest hit by illegal immigration and drug trafficking. Those that get decimated by trash and abuse when the flow of people and drugs cannot be controlled. The areas where illegal immigration, human smuggling and drug trafficking were completely out of control before the construction of fences and walls. The fences and walls that have gone up over the past 15 or so years, as illegal immigration has gone down. There needs to be sensible border security implemented in a strategic manner that preserves the natural resources and wonders shown in this film and protects the cities and residents in the most danger.

Beautiful scenery
Done with a left bent, but still done with a great eye for all the beauty there is in West and South Texas. Can tell you, not all the narrative is true, but then again, this was done to get their message across. Some great facts, historical and otherwise, delivered here. Wasn't real happy to see them try the rocky ascent with those poor horses. And the 'drama' of the nighttime dangers on the border --guess they felt they had to throw that in to keep the interest. Border is dangerous, in some areas, yes. But the danger they faced in this film was about as contrived as that you would see in any of the 'survival' shows on tv.

Must watch
This was fun to watch and super informative. This group makes showing us the life around the rio grande and how the border wall affects the people, their land and the affects on animals that rely on this water source among other things like an adventure. I was sad when it was over because I felt like I was on the ride with them. I was invested. Also, there is a huge national park called Big bend National park on the border, did you know this? I did not. Watch this!

I saw a screening tonight with Heather Mackey
And promptly came home to purchase the film. What do any of us know about the Texas border with Mexico, and its impact, unless you actually live there? No matter how you feel about a wall, this film was created BEFORE any wall. It made me think and consider things I did not know. The scenery is spectacular. I had no idea of the terrain of the West Texas border. As said in the film, it is not unlike the Grand Canyon. And the wildlife does not know the difference between the US and Mexico.

the river and the wall
I just feel it was most made in 2019 and was appropriate for the times. Watch it now to compare the movie to current times. It really gives a different perspective because it was actually filmed where the river and the wall will be built. It shows you beautiful natural areas that will be impacted by the wall. It's a documentary about the wall in the river that you will never see in the media
