Works fine in my Bauer 4 1/2" angle grinder (Harbor Freight). Specs in pic. Have used them most recently to get crud off stainless steel.

I was hoping for a product that would at least remove some surface/flash rust from some metal. This product far exceeded my expectations. It will not only remove rust, it will take paint of all types right down to the metal surface without digging in or otherwise damaging it. I suppose that if you held it in one place long enough it might wear down the metal a bit but using it as intended, it works great! And, durability.. I used just one of these on an entire project.. probably more than an hour of continuous use and there was still plenty of abrasive material left to move on to a different project. I figured it would wear down quickly but that was not the case. I don't do this kind of paint removal often but when I do, this will be my go-to product for the majority of the work to be done.

So you have to at least have a DeWalt small angle grinder or comparable, bur this little guy will absolutly rip the rust off. It works best if the surface is flat. It disnt seem to eat the pumice wheel nearly as bad if it was. It will still work on rounded areas but it seemed to chew up the pumice stone faster. For the money though, comparatively it worked great. Would definitely buy again, and have.

I purchased 15 of these pads to strip 120 years of accumulated layers of paint from my front porch frame structure. I tried chemicals, orbital sander, and a wire wheel and nothing seemed to work well and removal was extremely slow. I saw a video of a guy stripping paint using this type of pad and he was moving quite fast. I read the reviews of these pads not lasting long and they are, sorry to say, quite true. I use all 15 pads to remove about 15 feet of old paint, on an 9" porch header. The pads made easy work removing the paint down to bare wood with my grinder, but I was continuously changing pads. Doing the math, I was able to strip, to bare wood, 1 foot with each pad. I was pleased with the results, and have ordered 30 more pads. This time, I'm only stripping the paint to bare wood where it will be seen, all other areas, I'm only going to smooth the old paint out and then repaint. Still, however, when comparing the pad costs to the inordinate time I would need to invest in other ways of removing the old paint, these pads still are a better deal. Try them, you'll like them, but make sure to have enough to do your job.

Paint was chipping and buying new wasn't happening. Tired paint stripper with no luck. Found this and worked great, had to buying another set of 5. They do wear out fast for what I was doing. Used a total of 10 for a two garage door

These work well but last only minutes. The price reflects the low durability, so no real complaint.
