Warning!
Please note that if your purchase this phone from Mobile Advance EU in the USA, you will receive the US Single SIM 4G Model of this phone (with a US Charger) and NOT the Dual Sim German Model (LMG850EMW.ADEUBK) as advertised on Amazon. Also, on this US G8X ThinQ Dual Screen model the LG E-Mail, File Manager and Calendar apps are no longer available, installed or supported. You will have to use the Google Apps instead. Apart from that, this phone appears to work perfectly in the UK, but I cannot vouch for all UK mobile providers.

Good effort by LG - sadly not fully supported in the UK
I did a lot of research to select a new mobile and this one fitted the bill. I knew that the supplier was in Germany but as we are still entitled to EU consumer protections until the end of the year I took the decision to go ahead with the purchase. However LG in the UK refused to register the warranty stating that the model was not available in the UK or Europe. I referred them to the LG Germany and LG Spain websites where this model is listed and pointed out that we are still under EU consumer protection rules so they had no excuse not to accept registration of the warranty which they have done. However I cannot download the LG desktop app as the link only appears if the phone is listed on the UK website - hence my statement that it is not fully supported in the UK.The phone itself is good. I received the Android 10 update within a few days of registration so at least the LG update experience is a lot better than what it was a few years ago. Hopefully with questions over Chinese models, LG will take advantage and pay a bit more attention to the UK market as they do make some innovative products that have traditionally been let down by customer support. My experience shows two things. There is a strong possibility that after the end of the Brexit transition period there will be no protection for UK consumers seeking to register any product that is not available in the UK but is available in the EU and that if flagship products such as this are not made available to the UK market, consumer choice will be limited from January unless you take a risk with a European based trader. Obviously Amazon offers some protection but they can't control whether a manufacturer will agree to accept the registration of a product that they do not supply to the UK market.

Heavy, bulky and slightly useless
See the title. Don't bother with this phone. The purpose of a folding phone is a big screen with less bulk. This offers huge bulk and two screens. Daft.

Best innovation ever
Don't hesitate but one today. Dual screens will change how you use your phone forever.

Two isn't always better than one but the WOW factor is still good!
If I'm perfectly honest I'm a bit of a gadget-head and the LG dual screen really appealed to me. I had also looked and considered the Samsung Fold (nice concept but mediocre specs and average camera were too much to compromise on especially given the price) and the new Motorola Flip (also not the best of specs and I'm not sure how useful a screen that folds vertically would be) so, in the end, I plumped for the LG V50 with second screen and, to some extent, don't regret it. So, first the positives... The WOW factor works! The first time I showed someone something on the screen they went; WOW! Is that a DOUBLE-SCREEN phone! Awesome! The double-screen can also be truly useful. For example, I used one screen with Google Maps and the other one with Google StreetView which made for a novel navigation experience! Another nice feature that uses the two screens to goof effect is the camera which can immediately show the view or the image you have just taken on the other screen (there's also a mode that lets you see all three rear cameras on the 2nd screen (you can then either take a photo using EACH camera mode or tap the 2nd screen to select the most appropriate one)In general though you normally run two (or more) different programmes on the screens as only a a handful of apps work 'across' the two. Even then there is a noticeable 'lag' between the two screens so, for example, when using 'wide mode' in Google Chrome and scrolling down a web-page the left hand screen takes a fraction of a second to 'catch-up' with is more noticeable than I thought it would be at times. You also have to bear in mind that there's a fairly large black line down the middle of the screen created by the bezels of the two screens. There is good and bad news too with regards to the cameras. Firstly there are no less than FIVE of them BUT, the front/selfie-camera views are pretty much the same (a slightly wider view on one) which seems kind of pointless and the three rear camera are 'OK' but certainly not as good as many other Smartphone cameras out there. It's also very 'fiddly' to hold the phone with the 2nd screen attached though, on flat surface, the second screen can act as a makeshift stand which is useful. It's also worth pointing out that the '2nd screen' is nowhere near as good as the 'main one' (not only is it lower resolution but it's even slightly smaller too which can be a little off-putting at times).#As I say...I'm still pleased that I got it (for the aforementioned 'wow factor' alone!) and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could actually get a (albeit slightly weak) 5G signal (the phone only comes in 5G (though it will obviously use 3/4G if a 5G signal isn't available) which gives me speeds slightly above the 200Mbps) but I may well be tempted when the expected slew of 'proper fold-able phones' hit the market in due course.

Great mobile well done LG for stepping up to the plate on innovation
Purchased this dual screen LG G8x from Spain several weeks ago cheaper than available on Amazon. Great phone nothing bad to say about it. The dual screen case is just a fantastic addon which gives you so many options. Mobile has a great LG Oled screen (don't worry about the pixel count you won't notice it has a lower resolution than certain other much higher priced competitors) Battery life is also very good on a par with Huawei mobiles. The LG skin is ok but I use Nova launcher so can't really comment on that. Camera is very good with loads of manual options as is the video capture. This beauty has the 3.5mm headphone jack along with inbuilt DAC (who wants bluetooth with iffy sound quality) No complaints regarding this fantastic LG mobile very pleased with my purchase (and I have had an awful lot of mobile phones)There are a few accessories available now which is good.

A great idea but unfortunately a poor design
Phone itself is waterproof but the second screen (the cover) is not. Sounds like a bad joke.Bluetooth is weak, unreliable. When you turn on both screens, the battery literally counts down. 2 hours battery life while using both screens, on a good day.The cover requires a special adapter. Why? Who knows! Not easy to find a replacement if you lose, and so easy to misplace. The phone's main screen has gone haywire and become completely useless after being used for a while, returned it for a refund.
