OMRON X3 Comfort Automatic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use - Clinically Validated BP Monitor for Use in Diabetics or During Pregnancy - BP Machine with Intelli Wrap Cuff (22-42 cm)

I bought this device after the good Doctor told me to monitor my blood pressure.Omron are the go to manufacturer and is the brand also used by my GP (and most hospitals).The screen is bright, clear and easy to read. The arm cuff is sturdy making it easy to go on and place correctly on the arm. In fact the machine monitors if you have the correct placement.One feature I wanted, and another reason why I bought this specific device type out of the many that Omron produce, was the ability to connect it to a mobile phone via bluetooth and the Omron connect app. This allows you to transfer your blood pressure history to the app. Once you have done this, you can view the entire history as well as create and email a report - which you can subsequently email or print to show to your Doctor. In fact my Doctor was so impressed he thought that I had paid for the report via a private clinic.The device can support two profiles (people). My wife and I, therefore, can separately monitor and record the history - and connect to it on our separate phones.In reading other reviews, I notice that people have difficulty with connecting to the device via bluetooth as well as the app functionality. My wife and I have never encountered any problems. Omron did update the app which could have gone better but outside of this, the pairing and app usage has not been an issue.So, all in all, I'm very pleased with the device. Omron is a trusted brand which is the main reason I purchased this device and the app and reporting is extremely well done.

Bought this as a second machine due to my main one being a cheaper make and I was suspect to its accuracy. This is by far better, it gives readings in the same range as the one at the local surgery. It has a nice comfortable feel to the cuff instead of the pinch on my other one, and is much easier to place correctly one handed than the wrap back through a metal buckle effect of the other cuffs. The display is nicely sized and clear. The measuring procedure is simple one touch and the auto memory function is useful making averaging an easy few seconds task after your readings. It will tell you if you have anything gone wrong, like cuff wrongly placed or too loose, or you moved during the measure, things like this all help you to get accurate results, including your heart rate at the time. The whole thing seems really well made and well worth the extra few pounds over the cheaper available machines. My initial thoughts are fully positive, if things change I will update in the future.

Excellent monitor. Very comfortable cuff which doesn’t over inflate. Seemingly accurate readings. Very easy to use and very quiet. It’s a bonus having the 2 person option for taking readings. Would recommend

I needed a new blood pressure monitor to replace my old one which is now 20+ years old. I wanted another Omron as the brand has proved accurate and reliable over the time I’ve used it, and I thought that the additional functionality of being able to upload the results to an app on my phone would be useful for when I need to send the results to the doctor. I haven’t been disappointed with the monitor. The new cuff design is easy to position correctly and use. The display is large, clear and easy to read. The instrument is accurate when I’ve been able to cross reference it with the doctor’s monitor.I downloaded the app with the intention of being able to graph my results. The instructions the app gives you are different from the instructions that come with the device. So after some confusion, I had to use the American instructions instead of the UK ones. I wasn’t happy about this because the interface of the American app is crap compared with what the UK one was supposed to look like. On top of that, I found that I had to register with an American website and that my results would be stored on their cloud, not on my phone. Didn’t fancy sharing my medical details with god knows who, so I deleted the app, and now just use the monitor normally. If you have privacy concerns over sharing your personal medical data with an American company, save a few quid and buy the standard version rather than the Bluetooth one. I certainly regret wasting the extra for the Bluetooth function that I now won’t use. I also with that the cuff hose could be detached from the monitor for storage like my old one. Other than that, I would !highly recommend the product.

This blood pressure (BP) monitor is straightforward to use. Instructions are provided and these are clear and succinct.It works off 4 x AAA batteries (supplied) or you can separately obtain a mains charger.It only took me a few minutes to be taking my first reading, it was so simple to use.It’s recommended that you take two measurements twice a day if you need to keep track of your BP.I suggest that once you have worked out how to use the BP monitor you download the OMRON Connect app. The BP monitor will wirelessly pair with the app via Bluetooth and readings are sent to the app automatically.The app is really worthwhile. It stores the BP readings and provides average BP measurements which are averaged over a day, week, month, 6 months, a year and custom periods. So you can compare your readings and there are graphs which readily show any trends.I think the app is extremely useful and there are other features including recording weight and exercise so it can be used to improve your health and lifestyle.However, some of the advanced features require a subscription which is quite expensive and not worthwhile in my opinionOMRON is a respected and established brand so it should last and be reliable. I’ve had mine for a couple of months so far with no issues.

Needed a reliable blood pressure monitor so that I could keep an eye on my blood pressure at home. Was a bit nervous using it at first, but needn't have worried. Full instructions provided and it is really easy to use. Keeps a record of the readings so you can look back to see your progress. Not the cheapest, but I love it. Well worth the money. Would recommend.
