Steampunk Skull Ashtray Trinket Box with Lid Statue, 7.5" L x 6" W H, Gold/Bronze, Resin

I love this thing. It makes a great mantle piece.I was looking for a unique and cool ash tray to stand out in my new apartment. I have alwayse loved the steam punk and mixtures of 20s to 40s mixed with tech decor. This skull reall grabbed my attention. It looks like case bronze and has great detail in the design, the eye piece and gear look carved, not stuck on and the tubes are made to look like they were fitted nicely. It has a good weight to it so it should function well for an ashtray without sliding while putting out your cancer sticks. I am totally happy with this product, but I did run into one problem.I liked it so much I could not bring myself to use it as an actual ash tray. I have instead filled it with gummy bears.

I've only had it for one day, but I really like this. The skull has a fair amount fair weight to it. This makes it feel genuine. Touch the skull and it'll feels like some ash has been left on it. It definitely feels like its been around for a very long time. But that was the point. It is supposed to feel like an antique. This looks great on my desk. I use it as a quick access storage for small pieces of tech like UBS Flash Drives and short cables. Sometimes I have coins and other smalls things in there as well so that their not all over my desk. Overall, great piece.

It was chupped when I received it, so the lid didn't sit right, but the person I gifted it to stI'll loved it

I got this as a valentines day present for my boyfriend and it arrived a couple of days early. On the outside everything appeared normal, no scuffs or dents on the box. After opening it I found a second box just as the first, in perfect condition and upon opening that one I found the skull wrapped up in taped up plastic. "Awesome!" I thought to my self, "He is definitely going to love it." As I gingerly picked the skull up out of the box little pieces of it began falling from the plastic wrap.How odd right?Indeed, as I unwrapped the plastic from the bottom part of the skull (the top part was separated from the base) I discovered that the entire front right side of the skull had been shattered. The damage started with the eye and ended with the side looking as if a giant bite had been taken from it. The gear that normally sits in the right eye was missing (later found at the bottom of the box the skull came in) entire chunks of the tubing from the side of the skull lay in the center of the ash tray, along with some other bits and pieces.As it is right now I no longer have a gift in time for valentines day, which is quite upsetting because I was extremely excited about giving him this as a gift. I would advise anyone else thinking of getting this to not get their hopes up because they just might get shattered. (See what I did there?)

Neat little decorative ashtray but there's a large chip in the back of it and the skull doesn't sit properly now.

I was on the fence about buying this as it was a little expensive for an ashtray but I'm glad I did. First impression is it looked just as nice as the pictures but was surprisingly larger which was a good thing as instead of an ashtray I put it on a coffee table and store keys in it and sometimes other little things. Love the look of it and really contributes to the decor of my living room more then I thought it would when I was buying it as a simple ashtray.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, filled the skull with coins and jewelry. She uses it as a jewelry box. Its well crafted and super durable. The detail is splendid. This item was a great find! Can not wait to buy more!
