KJV Large Print Compact Reference Bible, Teal LeatherTouch

This is the PERFECT "grab and go" compact KJV Bible. It fits in the front pocket of my Cargo Pants and would easily fit in even a small purse. The Bible is lightweight, yet feels well made and durable. The text is crystal clear and easy to read. The paper is a nice bright white and very opaque considering how thin the pages are so there is very little text bleed through. There is a short history of the Bible at the end as well as a few sample Bible reading plans. There is a nice abbreviated concordance and several excellent color maps. The Bible has one ribbon and the page edges are guilded in silver.

It's a great bible and beautiful, very compact...the only thing is they are NOT LARGE PRINT as listing name said it should be. The only reason I got it was because it should be large print so my children would be able to read it easily.I was expecting the text size to be the same as personal sized bible which I got as well.( see comparison in photo).Somewhat feeling Disappointed.

I love this KJV bible. Easily fits into my purse and good quality. I was looking for something I could travel with that wouldn't be heavy. Also because it is small its easy to flip through.I would comment on the font size but I have pretty good vision so I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask but in my opinion it is large print and I have no issues reading it. I also like that the cover is plain and doesn't have any crosses or designs etc on it. (one on the main reasons I bought it) One thing I noticed is that the gold lettering on the spine seams to be rubbing off and I've only had it for a few months. Other than that I like it.

It is hard to imagine how Holman can do Bibles so nicely at this price point. This is a lovely Bible - I just got it here at AMAZON because I needed it faster (but love CBD for Bible purchases usually), and I am so happy with the quality.The print is larger than most compact Bibles, and at this size you cannot expect much larger print. The print is 7 point, and it is in an easily readable font. If my old eyes can read it I think so could most people. I have another compact Bible, a NKJV from Nelson with very readable print as well in a different font. These are such small Bibles. It is not fair to take off starts from a rating because you may have purchased a Bible that is too small for the print size you need, In addition there is information on some other sites as to actual print size. Christian Book Distributors includes this in every description along with ISBN etc., etc. Knowing where to look for info and doing the homework first will save a lot of purchases that give grief later on without actually being the items fault. You cannot critique an item for what it was not when you decided to purchase it!Here are the high points:1.Printed in Korea on good paper with a slightly tan cast...not even tan, but not stark white.Easy on the eyes, and my eyes are old and need clear type!2.Teal "pleather" binding is sewn, and nicely embossed with a pretty design, and looks like it will last a long time. Silver page gilding that has NOT sealed the pages together, a problem I had with two larger study bible. It isn't easy to get pages on Bible paper apart. A nice matching Teal ribbon marker is bound in, and it has a gift presentation page.3.The helps are nice to have, not intense of course - this isn't a study Bible. Nice touch to get such well done maps as well, even though of course small. I highly recommend this Bible! Helps include the usual: How to read the Bible, books of the Bible, concordance, maps and a few other articles such as parables and miracles and harmony of the gospels - all in abbreviated form.This edition also comes in many colors of bindings, and some editions with a magnetic flap closure. This teal with design is without closure. I prefer no flap closure.

Compact is accurate; Large print is not. I have wonderful vision, but this Bible should never be marketed as large print. I don't have it in front of me but I would say it is about a 6 pt. where your standard type-face is a 12 pt. I purchased this as a gift for my 8 year old daughter. She likes it because she can fit it in her little purse and she can carry it with her. The pattern on the front is cute and the Bible itself is well made. It comes in a sleeve of cardboard looped around it rather than in a gift box. There's not much extra to it, but that worked out okay for its intended purpose. If you have any issues with your vision, this is not the Bible for you.
