Not all that great.
I picked these up from a local store because I needed knives while visiting my family (theirs were too dull, and we didn't have time to sharpen them properly.) I figured that even some $10 knives would be sharper. I was wrong. I suppose these would be fine if you're only doing some coarse chopping of celery, potato and carrot. One might be able to put an edge on these, but since the steel is soft, I doubt it'd stay. I wouldn't recommend using these for chopping meat, or doing any fine chopping.
