This is the second monolaurin product we have tried and we like it better than the first one in most ways.The price was right for this product, as compared to other brands and you get a lot of bang for your buck, for sure! 186 servings go a really long way, even if you're using this a lot at maximum dosage.A handy instruction sheet was sent with this product which was very helpful for understanding it better and for getting the dosages correct.The previous product we tried consisted of capsules filled with powder. It was easy for me to open the capsules and dump the powder into my mouth (I hate swallowing pills) and it had no taste whatsoever. This product, in comparison, is in the form of small, flying saucer-like discs that you measure out with a scoop, place in your mouth, and wash down with some liquid. They have an extremely bitter taste, which remains in your mouth if you don't swallow quickly enough. On a couple of occasions I had a little disc get stuck between my teeth and my cheek without me noticing and I accidentally comped the disc when it dislodged later. NOT a pleasant experience. Swallowing the discs was awkward for me at first, but with some practice and improvement of my technique, it got much easier - and this coming from someone who would rather chew a nasty pill than swallow it whole. My 3 yr old was able to swallow the discs down in smaller quantities without issue and she thought it was fun too!This product seems more effective than the other one and it seems more pure and of higher quality. We have been using it to ward off colds/flus and so far, nobody has come down with any serious colds or flues since we've been using it. We also used it, in conjunction with anti-biotics, to treat a few ailments in our animals and it seemed to enhance and complement the action of the anti-biotics, though it did not seem able to treat the ailments alone.As a bonus side effect, not really mentioned anywhere, this alone cleared up some pretty serious gingivitis without any other treatments of any kind. That was pretty cool.The effects of Monolaurin on certain pathogens are documented in some scientific research and more studies are coming out as time passes. I researched and read a good number of the studies in both humans and animals before trying this for our family and I have been pleased with the results thus far (several months of use). This is definitely a product that we will continue to stock in our home and use when warranted, and we'll likely stick with this brand as well.

I have Hepatitis C and over the course of a month taking it I have brought down my AST and ALT liver enzymes by 113 and 68 points respectively. I should also point out my daily regimen includes B-Complex with Folate; Vitamin C; Olive Leaf Extract; Cranberry Probiotic; Selenium and Dandelion Tea. And I will not live without this supplement! Having my viral load measured in a few days. Will update my results later.Update: 3/16/17Got my Hepatitis C viral load update; went from having it last tested in Feb 2016 at 2.4 million to it now in March 2017 being 674,000! I've only been taking Ultimate Monolaurin since January 2017 and already I can feel the difference it is making. My one concern is how my blood-brain barrier is operating since I have had bouts of depression and anger lately but I do not attribute Ultimate Monolaurin to causing such mood changes. I attribute it to toxins in my blood being pushed around and exiting the body in various ways. I was told by a naturopathic associate that I should consume more Dandelion root tea and Milk Thistle, which I have already been doing. I am optimistic I will bring down my numbers even more by this time next year.Nov. 2017My Hepatitis C is non-detected. due in part to prescription medicine. Healed in 4 weeks by the drug Mavyret. But Monolaurin dropped my viral load down to 674,000; although my numbers later rose to 3.4 million because I ran a marathon and wasn't fully ready. Combined with extreme heat and fluctuating temperatures last May. I soon developed bronchitis (for the first time in my life) which caused my Hep C viral load to rise to 3.4 million. I was angry and scared so I opted to get prescribed treatment for Hep C. However, Ultimate Monolaurin is definitely something worth taking. During the six months of taking it (Jan to June 2017) I had a wisdom tooth reappear after having two of them extracted over 10 years ago. Several months ago the dentist discovered a 4mm x 2mm tooth fragment dislodge from my mouth. It was crazy. No one had a definitive explanation as to what happened. I can only attribute this to the benefits of taking Monolaurin and helping remove toxic garbage from my system. I will definitely take Ultimate Monolaurin again. Thanks.
