Funko MLP: Cupcake Keepsakes Rainbow Dash Figure

When I first saw these listed on Amazon, I just had to get all seven of them. Being a collector of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic related material these were all a very welcomed addition. They were different and for me, different means awesome and overall these are exactly that.However that's not to say they don't have issues. The first one anyone would notice is the dome is hard to remove at first. Simply squeeze it in and lift with force. Kids and people with a lack of hand strength, get a parent or someone to help you to uncap one of these things successfully.As for the toy itself, it's simple and a very cute concept. It has little play value outside of simply displaying it or pretend play. However you can pull the icing lid off and store all the little bits inside. Yes, the tail can also be removed from the body. It's not a defect and doing so makes it easier to store the pieces when transforming it into... cupcake mode! Which actually makes it fairly portable for a toy if it wasn't for the fact the lid doesn't really fit all that tight. Now that's not to say yours might not fit tight, but all the ones I got so far don't seem to.The face appears to be on a shrink wrapped plastic sleeve that covers the "body" of the cupcake. Also the nameplate on the stand is simply painted silver. Though they do a convincing job with it. I believed it at first until I actually tapped it to make sure. The designers at Funko were really trying there.Overall, I'd say if these interest you enough, then perhaps get one to try them out unless you know for certain you'll want them. Then why not get all of them like I did! Also these could be cute for a child's toy, though do remember there are very small pieces involved and an adult will likely need to help in the unboxing process. So I'd say it's appropriate for anyone age eight-adult. Not to mention due to the limited play value, it may just wind up on the shelf or in a toy bin. Though I'd suggest displaying it on a shelf regardless of play or not. It's just cute to look at!

This is very unique and appeals to my young daughter very much. My only complaint that kept this from 5 stars is that I wasn't aware it came apart. Her "icing" disassembles into small pieces that will easily get lost in the hands of a 4 year old.

The figurine is adorable. Its lovely and it looks awesome sitting on my desk. There are some defects with it's mane, scratched and all. But I guess that's how it goes with all funko figurines. Overall, It's a good buy for any MLP fan or collector.

I initially didn't like the cupcake keepsakes, but after having them about for a little while, they really grew on me. If you get bored of their pony form, you can break them down to cupcakes. If I had to give any sort of complaint for them, it would be that sometimes the pieces are a little too quick to fall out. In the end though, they're usually decently priced, and they look pretty cool.

This item showed up in a dirty, bent box. If you're trying to collect it, hope you don't get what I received.

The container was glued on, we needed my husband help to open it. That is why I only rate this 4 stars.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it is super adorable. Seriously, the cuteness is kind of ridiculous! She loved it and proudly displays it on her desk. I would highly recommend this for any Pegasister or Brony.
