My son is 16 months old, and has recently developed an obsession with airplanes, helicopters, buses, cars, and trucks. We went to Target to find a helicopter toy for him, and much to my disappointment could only find fighter-type army helicopters with tiny parts. I decided to then shop online and came across this one! It's adorable, and he loves to play with it! He can roll it on the ground with his trucks or he can fly it in the air with one hand! He likes to play with the propeller! I try not to take wooden toys in the tub, but he has been so attached to this one since he got it- I've given in a few times! That said, it even seems to have held up after being a "water copter" the few times he's taken it in! A great quality toy!

Kid loves it. Easy to hold. Also use it to roll on dogs back as massager. Get for her to fall asleep. Smooth wheels feels good.

My 10 month old loves anything and everything with propellers and/or wheels. My mom bought him a dollar bin wooden airplane toy from Target and he LOVED it. It was flimsy of course so it didn't last long so I found this helicopter and it's his absolute favorite toy. He loves spinning the wheels and propellers and it is extremely durable. It's one of those toys you can hang on to forever and give it to your grand kids or to your child after they've grown up and say "Hey, you loved this toy when you were little." I love that the paints are nontoxic since he this toy goes in his mouth a lot. Fits in the diaper bag perfectly too. A+ review from this mama. He'll probably love on this toy for years.

Hape is a fantastic company. If I could buy all of my LOs toys from them I would. I love that their paint is non toxic. My child puts everything in his mouth and munches on it. This product gives me peace of mind that he will be safe playing (aka attempting to eat) this toy. The wood is sturdy and overall the product is very well made. The orange is an attractive color. The copter fits well in his hands. My LO's cousin who is a year and a half also loves to play with this toy. It is a hit! I can see them playing with this toy for another few years.

We've had this helicopter toy for 9 months now and it is still one of our son's favorites. He loves to roll it around on the floor and tries to make Little People sit on the propeller. The quality of Hape toys is really top notch. After 9 months of daily play (and gnawing, because, let's face it, kids chew on their toys) this Little Copter still looks nearly brand new. We are so pleased that Santa brought this for our little guy and are hoping for more fun Hape toys for Christmas this year!

If the color is important to you, and I assume that it is since you’re considering buying a wooden helicopter from a German company, then I want you to know this helicopter looks more yellow in the images than it is. It’s more of a turmeric, a late-summer tanned turmeric or rather, an orange dreamsicle, Pantone 17-1360 if memory serves

Love it! Bought it for my 7-month-old daughter. She seems to like it. Right now she mainly just chews/bangs on toys, but there are some toys she gravitates to more than others. She seems interested in the propeller (or whatever you call helicopter blades?) but hasn't quite gotten the concept of pushing it along the floor. The helicopter is very cute and well-made, although it is a bit smaller than I was expecting. (I didn't really check the dimensions in the product description, though.) I would definitely purchase other Hape items, especially as she gets older.

Cute little helicopter. Simple and made out of wood. The shape is great with no sharp edges and the bright yellow is eye catching. I bought this for my youngest grandson (7 months). It will be one of his Christmas gifts. I know he will love it and being wooden and without a lot of parts and bells and whistles, it will last a long, long time. I love wooden toys!! I will be buying more toys from this company.
