Worked great with my Windows 10 machine.
I installed the Windows driver and Showbiz that came in the installation CD. Opened Showbiz and was not able to get any video output, only sound. I went ahead and started capturing the video from my old VCR. When I checked the output file, both video and sound were captured perfectly. I wanted to be able to see a preview while capturing the video so I started using VLC. VLC displayed both video and audio perfectly. VLC also allows you to record what you are capturing. But it saves it in AVI formar which makes for huge files. 40 seconds of video captured was 1GB!!!. So I was too lazy to look for another program and went back to Showbiz. I ended up capturing almost 3 hours of video. Crossed my fingers when I went to play the video file (was just over 6GB). Thankfully the entire video and audio were captured correctly. Quality is as good as it can be from an old family VHS tape. Based on some little research, it seems that the lack of video preview in Showbiz might have to do with my Nvidia's video driver (haven't verified). Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product.

Very good tech support. Update.
I bought the DigitNow USB 2.0 Capture Card on the recommendation of someone that had purchased one one. It worked perfectly for the first VHS tape I copied to my hard drive. Once the second tape, I started getting a lot of video noise. Contacted their tech support and they helped me determine that the capture card had gone bad. I've been around electronics long enough to know that it happens with the best of products. The good news is they are sending me a replacement card ASAP. I really like tech support that is no muss, no fuss, just get 'er done. Once I receive the replacement capture card I will update this review on the product itself. Update! Got the replacement capture card. It works GREAT! I've transferred multiple VHS tapes to digital format on my hard drive with absolutely no problems at all. I used the free OBS studio software instead of the software that came with the card (I already has OBS on my laptop). Product is great, tech support is great.

Affordable & Easy to Use!
VIXLW Video Capture Card, USB3.0 HDMI – I recently picked up the VIXLW Video Capture Card (USB3.0 HDMI to…), and it has been a solid budget-friendly option for streaming and recording video. While it’s not a high-end capture card, it gets the job done for basic needs. Pros: ✔ Easy to Set Up – Plug-and-play functionality makes it simple to connect and start using without installing extra drivers. ✔ Decent Video Quality – Captures 1080p at 60fps, which is great for most streaming and recording applications. ✔ USB 3.0 for Faster Transfer Speeds – The faster data transfer helps reduce lag and improves video quality. ✔ Works with Multiple Platforms – Compatible with OBS, Zoom, Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming services. ✔ Good Value for the Price – For an affordable capture card, it performs well for casual users. Cons: ✖ Limited to 1080p – While the quality is good, it doesn’t support 4K pass-through, so it may not be ideal for high-end gaming setups. ✖ Some Latency – There’s a slight delay, which might be noticeable in fast-paced gaming but is fine for basic streaming and recording. ✖ Build Quality Could Be Better – The casing is lightweight and feels a bit fragile, so handling it with care is recommended. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly capture card that’s easy to use and delivers decent performance for 1080p streaming or recording, the VIXLW Video Capture Card is a solid choice. Just keep in mind the lack of 4K support and slight latency if you need pro-level performance. – Great for beginners and casual users!

VHS sync issues, screen flashes
I bought this to convert all my old VHS tapes to MP4. The first 3 tapes I converted had screen flashes and jumps. It did not appear to be synching well. I tried hooking up to another VCR to convert and had the same issue with a different VCR. I then hooked up the VCR to my TV and there were no issues with the video. Conclusion, This product did not work for my needs. Wasted my money. It waited too long to do this, so it was outside the return window. I purchased on Amazon the ClearClick Video Capture device and it works great.

Sufficient for preserving old tapes, but not great...dont contact support, they dont bother...
Updated review(6-10-2020), i would say this item for the money is sufficient for capturing your old tapes onto your computer, it is noisy and the quality of video is ok, but work good enough to preserve some memories, but getting top notch video wont happen as tapes degrade over time Must have a CD drive, i didnt have one, so i had to dig out an old PC and fire it up, lol. Wasnt hard though, i just grabbed the files off the CD provided, drag them onto the desktop, then onto your thumb drive.....Heres the file to grab, 2 folders, First when the computer opens the CD to select what to do with it, choose "Open files on disk" or something like that, you'll see it. then look for a folder called "DRIVERS" then another called "SHOWBIZ 3.5" drag those both onto you desktop, then onto your thumb drive, you wont need more than a 1GB card to hold these files......WHEN the files are on your main computer, look for the SETUP icon in the respective folder, click OK on the questions, no problem, easy! Onto the CONS for this device, it works no problem, but the device was noisy, even before i plugged anything in, airy noise going on, but if you just need to get old stuff onto new media, this is a decent way to do it. if you already use editing software, your editor might cut some of the noise as well. 2 other things, the capture software only captured in MPEG2, which is ok, but i didnt like because the quality is not enough for my situation. AND, the video didnt show up in their capture software, i heard the sound, but no video, DONT WORRY, if you hear sound, hit Record and do a test run, because mine worked i just couldnt see it, the video was in the file afterward.

This device was not recognised by any of the three PCs we plugged in into (tried on two windows PCs running Windows10 and on a Mac running). Contacted the manufacturers help desk twice, neither of the solutions offered worked. Other reviews mention problems with drivers and we suspect this is also our issue. Device is totally non functional, sadly. Probably best to choose another product.

The software is outdated; too old version. Insufficient information provided in the listing.

The converter worked as advertised. The connections were easy to computer and older video camera.

Don't waste your money as it does not work with the latest windows 10 software as the ad specifies.Should not have to do further research or find a back way in the computer to run .Have read other reviews with exactly the same hassle but others seem to have no problem. For me its been a complete waste of money . Thumbs down
