Hated it, then loved it.
When I first ordered this, it smelled awful, not like matcha. I mixed it up with hot water, and it tasted like rancid milk. I added honey, which did not help. The consistency was gross too. I was pretty livid. It is not cheap. I didn't touch it again for a while, but felt bad about wasted money, so decided to give it another try. I put hot water, a scoop of the powder, and a splash of oatmilk in a milk frother. It is DELICIOUS! Velvety and with a distinct matcha flavor. I think the thing is, it REALLY has to be blended with a blender or frother. Pretty excited about it now.

Not Too Sweet
I have tried a few different Vital Proteins Latte flavors. My favorite so far is the Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond Latte, but it is pricey at $45.00 per container! I like the Lattes better than the other Vital Protein drink powders because they are creamier. The Matcha Collagen Latte Original is very good also. It has a subtle grassy/green tea flavor and it is only slightly sweet - which is perfect for me! I use it to break my fast during intermittent fasting and I like the fact that it is one of Vital Proteins cheaper lattes at $29.00 per container! I highly recommend it!

Tastes like Coconut
Tastes okay but it tastes a lot like coconut. There is coconut in it so it makes sense. Its not as good as the matcha from Starbucks or the matcha from Full Leaf Tea Company but I am sure this is a good way of taking collagen so thought I'd try and see if there is a difference in the way my hair a skin looks. I will give an update after using for a while. It looks like this bottle will make 12 drinks.

Super Delicious! š
Normally I use the regular mix, but when I saw this one I knew I just had to try it!It has a strong taste of coconut (main ingredient) so good thing I really like coconut!Blends great with hot water and hot almond milk which is the only way Iāve been drinking it. So not sure if with cold itāll be the same, but Iām thinkinf it canāt be that different.I wish there was more to the container, you get about 3/4 of the container and the rest is the scoop. Maybe a bigger container and more product? It just seems like there isnāt a lot for what the cost is and for using 2 scoops each time.Overall, itās delicious! Would buy again! š

Another great way to supplement your collagen intake.
I personally like the taste of this product (original version). The matcha flavor comes through along with the coconut flavor (from coconut milk powder) so it might be off-putting for a lot of people. I personally find it surprisingly pleasant to drink but my preparation also includes adding soy milk or almond milk to make it creamier.

DOES NOT TASTE LIKE MATCHA BY ANY STRETCH OF IMAGINATION
Does this taste bad? No. But if youāre expecting this to be anything like matcha, get the non latte matcha flavor. Thatās what I usually get and accidentally ordered this instead. Thereās not even a whiff of matcha flavoring or scent to it. What it does taste like is coconut near the shell. And I donāt mean coconut in general, I mean when you buy a coconut and scrape out the meat and get some shell in it. In order words, this taste like coconut shell.Once I got over my expectations, it tastes fine. I donāt hate it. Donāt love it. Iāll drink finish the tub. But I immediately made sure to change my new subscription to the regular matcha flavored collagen from vital proteins that Iāve been drinking for years. It is sold on Amazon from the brand, youāll just have to go to the vital proteins store page as itās not a ālatteā flavor.

The best match green tea collagen powder I've tasted thus far!
I love this powder. I heat up my unsweetened vanilla almond milk on the stove, pour it into my cup, then add one scoop per 8oz. The trick is to use a matcha whisk vs. a spoon. I have a wooden one that I purchased from David's Tea and that makes the difference. If you allow the cup to sit a bit before drinking, I would suggest that you at that point use a spoon to stir the powder that settles at the bottom. I also add 2 packs of Truvia as I like it a little sweet.I suppose you could put it in the blender too, but to me, that would just cool the milk. Either way, it's yummy!P.S. Not sure why "sheerness" is added to the rating but I gave it a 5-star rating since I love everything else about the powder.

Crossover between Match and Infant Formula
I've been a Matcha lover and connoisseur for the past 4 years and this is definitely bad. I don't know if it's the collagen or the added ingredients but once mixed it smells like infant formula, the stinky kind. The taste is also like formula, or a very processed product with a hint of matcha. My preparation was mixing the matcha with a bit of hot water, as you would prepare the ceremonial kind, and then dump it in vanilla almond milk - which is typically high in sugar. This combo is my go to with regular matcha but this mix just tastes awful, no vanilla can save it. I've heard really good things of other Vital Proteins but this matcha mix is a No-No for me.
