Trust Yer Rubber.
These took me a few rides to fully trust. I've never run tires that looked like slicks before, and here in Pittsburgh, it's still more-or-less winter. First few commutes in, I wasn't leaning into my downhill turns like I normally would. Slowed down and stayed upright. However, the second ride in was in a downpour, and when I had some safe space to do so, I actually leaned in quick and jerky, almost trying to get the tires to slip. Couldn't do it. So impressed was I that this morning, on dry tarmac, I pushed it downhill a little and leaned as I normally would. Stuck like glue.*These are my fourth set of Continental bike tires. I have had mixed experiences with them. I absolutely LOVED my Trail King mountain bike tires (and really wish they'd sell a 3" wide version so I can run them again). I love, love, love my Top Contact II Winter Tires. Couldn't be happier with them. But I bought a cheaper set of touring tires last year, and they were terrible. They were not made in Germany, however, and I understand now that's the difference. If you are shopping around and these aren't your thing, look for another set of Continentals made in Germany. You won't regret it.

Tough tires, great price
The price was great! The new tires arrived promptly. They were easy to install. It was a good deal for me.I live in Hill country of TX. The roads are chip seal, they shoulders have burrs and every plant seems to have a thorn. Gator skins have been my go to tire because they can stand up to the challenge.

Love them! Get them!
I love these, replacing my old pair. Had them for over 10 years. They are still good just nervous with all the miles, and abuse. I go on and off road with them. I realized I don’t even carry a spare tube any more. Shipping was fast, great price.

Good tire...but not for California's thorny bicycle paths
Immediately liked the feel of these new tires, but have had too many flats from California's infamous goat-head thorns. I am re-ordering the Continental Gator Hardshell version of this Continental GatorSkin tire and hoping that one gives better protection from flat tires.

I was flatting all the time, until I put these on my bike, and haven't flat since. Pulled two thorns from my tire last weekend... no flat

The Best
After buying a new bicycle that already had a different type of tire on it, I am happy to be back the Continental Gatorskin Tires. I can ride with confidence... even in areas that are prone to cause punctures. They are the best.

Heckin Awesome Tires
I've been riding on these on Chicago streets for about a year now. I ride to and from work (approx. 10 miles/day) five days a week (not quite so much in the winter). I've pulled dozens of glass shards and sharp rock out of them BUT have yet to get a flat. before I was getting a steady flat tire every month. They also handle very comfortably. didn't have any trouble putting them on. if you're new to beadless tires they might seem weird at first but they snap right into place. I'm sold on gatorskins- worth every penny.
