Can you re-use or change battery?

No , you can't change the batteries and you might be able to reuse them if you save the little plastic tab that you pull to turn them on but I'm not sure how well will that work.

Are they smaller than tealights?

Yes they are smaller than a tea light. They are about the size of a marble and are very bright.

has anyone tried these in easter eggs?

Yes we use these every Halloween for a night time Spider egg hunt in plastic Easter eggs with candy and small toys. These lights will last for few years if you save the little tabs and put them back in when your party is over.

Is the replacement batteries lr44 or lr41? it says both in your right up!

I took mine apart and the battery says LR 41 on it. They actually pop open quite easily. So it would be easy to change the batteries.
