That Was Different!!! :)
I'm really enjoying Allison and the boys. ;) I'm not very happy with the cliffhanger I just had thrown at me, but I am definitely going to be reading the next book in this series as soon as I can. This is great!!!

weird but exciting
Strange re telling of Alice in wonderland with a lot of similarities but also differencesEnjoyed it very much, especially as Alice is totally humanised from what we all know of her.Loved the world building and the fact the men are not completely black / white, you are never sure if they are good or bad for herContinuing to the second book.

Interesting. Quick read.
I didn't really have expectations when I picked the book up. But it was a solid story, mild spice. Nice Alice adaptation. While ad the other two books soon.

Love this book
This is such a unique story. It's refreshing to read something that has a different theme to it.There are a couple of thing I wish they would have explained better.1. The women. I thought the either died or turned into a man. So how are there women? And enough to have generations of kings2. The time line. How long ago did this happen?

Im a sucker....
I absolutely love anything Alice in wonderland and I love the dark twist CM puts on it. It has you on the edge of your seat wondering what is gonna happen next. It follows the story but with its own dark twist which again keeps you guessing what twisted thing will happen next.

Page Turner
This whole series is wonderful. I finished all 3 books in about 3 days between daily life and a full time job. Even when I finished the last page of the 3rd book I wanted more.I got so absorbed in this story. I was able to visualize everything around me.I'm so excited to start the next series and rejoin the life of Allison and all the queens men. Only 1 book is out so far for the next series so I hesitate to start it since I prefer to binge. But I have it sitting on my shelves ready to be read once more of the series is out! This is my first book/series by this author and I'm excited to read more!Since this is more of a review on the whole series I will be copying this review to the other 2 books as well since I read them all together and there is no omnibus of this series.Thank you for this wonderful read.

Good twist on a favorite fairytale
**contains some amount of spoilers**(But if you know what a reverse harem is, that this book has sexual content and that it's based on Alice in Wonderland, I'm not really spoiling much of anything. Proceed with caution)So this was a really fun read (or listen, as I was on Audiobook. Which is read by a woman who sounds like Emma Watson which just legit made it all the better. Oh, and the men are voiced by a man). I love the MC and really appreciate that she is well aware that she is in a world based on a book. And while the foundation of sexual content is laid very early on, I very much appreciate that Allison identifies that she is a hormonal teenager who thinks about sex when she sees a hoy guy; so there's a very realistic path the book is leading us down All in all, despite some pretty heavy topics, the book was kept light, arguably superficial, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. It's the first of a series; for laying ground work it does a great job and leaves a lot of open terrain to explore, so to speak. The only thing I am genuinely disappointed about is the lack of attention there was to the dissonance between Allison's last sexual encounter "topside" and her desire for, and actual, sexual encounters in Underland. I just feel like, if the demons the writer is trying to establish in Allison's past are going to play a part in her experience in Underland then there should at least be a dialogue between her and her harem and perhaps some hesitancy on her part prior to the deed, don't you think? It didn't detract in any way really, just something I thought about. But honestly, really great read. I'm happy that the obvious was brought to the front, not leaving me to feel like the MC was a complete twit. She challenged a lot of the story's canon that other MCs in other stories have just accepted unquestionably (which leaves me bonkers!!). She was strong without being too femme-y and all in all very relatable. VERY excited for book two (and I'm trying to decide if I can wait for the audio to come out or not!)

Awesome sexy twist to Alice in wonderland
Couldn't stop reading this book. Loved this adaptation of the well-known Alice in wonderland adventures. Had a sexy twist to it, with similar characters but different in their own ways, which i really loved. I just couldn't stand how the ending left you on a total cliff hanger. Suspense was built and then author just leaves you with that and says "to be continued". There was more pages in the book, but it was just a chapter from another book instead. So now I gotta wait for the 2nd book to arrive so I can pick up where I left off. I ordered the 2nd and 3rd book of this series so I don't have to wait again haha this series is THAT good and I read the first book in a single day đ gonna start looking into other books from the author

We're all mad here
I love C.M Stunich, her books are just wicked they transport you into a world of pure imagination. My first book ever by this wonderful author was Groupie, and the following two books I devoured them, I loved them so much I have lost count how many times I have read them, She quickly became an author I stalked (ERM- Followed) I have since devoured nearly everything she has written. Onto this delicious morselI don't even know where to start with Allison's Adventures in Underland. I do not normally like the re-telling of classics I often fin them flat and one dimensional nothing like the original, I know that's the point but to take a classic and destroy it is unforgivable. It was odd, strange and I kind of expected that obviously due to the subject matter. I love the original Alice in wonderland, like Allison in the book I too have played many games featuring the characters and I'm pretty sure I've read a dark book about Alice too.I don't think any of that prepared me for this. Allison's adventure's in Underland is a book I don't feel I can even categorise. It's definitely, dark, there's a hint of new adult, a little romance, action, adventure, some way out there characters and that's not even going into the actual story. C.M has wrote an intriguing book. Confusing yes, intriguing definitely and just plain weird. But did I like it?well what do you think ?? OF COURSEI did. I loved the characters Dee and Tee deserve their own personal mention - I don't think I'd have questioned going through the door if that's all I needed to do! A world where all the men seem to be beautiful, gorgeous and drop dead fu... ok you get the idea. Add to that Allison, she's a really cool characters, head strong, sensual but with some past baggage for sure. Again no spoilers here. The book ends on a bit of a cliff, in a 3 book series you expect that. The book is delightfully mad, but of course as the saying goes we are all mad here so I'm sure many will enjoy it just like me.Do not think just because you like the original Alice you will like this.Allison is different, Underland is VERY VERY different and I don't think I'd have considered finding the white rabbit or Cheshire cat hot in the original stories. So, bare that in mind. But I did enjoy this, so I recommend it. Book 2 next I can hardly ait to go down the rabbit hole againWicked read C.M Stunich

This could easily earn a higher rating for other readers. My issues are exactly that, mine, and not a reflection on the books quality or content. The start is a little awkward. I couldnât tell at first if it was meant to be somewhat of a parody, or an actual reworking, or even a combination. It does smooth out, but you have to persevere for a time.Even then, the information and answers are so sparred out, to be frustrating (for me).You constantly have to put your own questions on hold, and wait for it to eventually make sense. In fairness, the FMC does try to get answers, but just like in the original, the others riddle, rhyme, and confuse things so much, it becomes a headache to continue in that moment.Add to that, the FMC is always so angry and depressed (justifiably so), and all the characters lack any sort of compassion, empathy, or calm ⊠it gets quite heavy and thick, the humour more a cruel attack on each other, rather than any lol moment.Lastly, the sexual attraction between each other, is all about physicality and whatever magical pull is going on. No one seems to truly like each other, or care if someone is hurt. Nauseous yes, horrified ⊠maybe ⊠upset or wounded, no, not for their current company.I love a well-done re-telling, especially those with a darker bent. But there needs to be some balance, some hope, someone worth striving for⊠Characters who are flawed, but redeemable, so you like well enough to want to succeed, care about to the point you donât want them harmed. This is not there yet, for me at least. [Though the twins and Chesh, have a lot of potential đ„žđ€]All that said, love the world building thatâs so far developed, fascinated to see where the story is going, and hoping that somewhere along the journey, we get some hope, some lightness that allows us to breath, or at least care about the characters đ đ«Ł

The sexy kind of weird
Sometimes a woman has to do weird things and has to be a little mad. I saw the cover of this book and didn't even read the synopsis. I collect Alice in Wonderland editions and retellings and the cover alone was reason enough to want to have it. I was clearly not entirely aware of what I got myself into exactly, but surprisingly enough I really really enjoyed it a lot. This book is the definition of a guilty pleasure. The book is very clear on what it is: A woman's fantasy written down. I mean, who doesn't want to fall down a rabbit hole to end up in a world where all the males are literally mad for you? It totally would take some time to get used to and just like Allison I'm also not the kind of girl who just dives in head first (pun intended), but I think, just like Allison I could have grown quite used to this. What makes the book an even more amusing read is the fact that the author, and Allison, is constantly very aware of all the clichés. No, she's totally not going to be such a heroine falling easily for the first hot man she meets. No, she's not interested in being their saviour, because being the chosen one sucks and why the hell are all the men so handsome? Where are the ugly ones like they have in the real world? I could identify surprisingly well with Allison and just like her I did fall for the charms of the handsome guys she meets. But, strangely enough the story is not JUST a guilty pleasure. Buried under the amusement, the smut and the constant sexual tension, there are actually quite interesting themes that are never forgotten. Rape and consensual sex, free will, ptsd, it's all hinted upon and lingers constantly in the background. For me that's what made this story the perfect middle ground. The book has just enough interesting layers (thin ones, but still) to keep me interested and curious to see how this story will continue. And therefore the pleasure parts of the story, become all the more pleasant!I WANT MORE! (There are two more books, I will order those tomorrow!)

Character Progression
CM Stunich has pulled it out of the bag once again. I have to admit that I am a recent fan of this particular author but I have devoured almost all of her books in a short period of time. There is no repetition in her writing what-so-ever. I love the character Alice in this adult take of the children's classic Alice in Wonderland, her progression as a character is set at a comfortable pace and there is little to no frustration in regard to her character. My favourite part of this franchise are Tweedledum and Tweedledee - they are such fascinating characters that drew you in at an incredibly rapid rate. I also love Rab - so ruthless and unapologetic - so beautifully rich and wonderful characters. I could not put this down. I would highly recommend to everyone who has had even a fleeting enjoyment of the children's classic.Thank you Miss. Stunich for creating such powerful and compelling heroine's and emersive worlds in which this disabled woman can happily submerge herself.
