Great for Lifeguards
I use this whistle for lifeguarding and teaching other aquatic courses. It is great and still works perfectly when wet and after being submerged.

Excellent Safety Tool for Various Outdoor Activities!
We bought several Fox 40 Sonik Blast whistles for our family, and they’ve been fantastic for safety. My mom keeps one with her while working in the garden or walking in the woods, and it’s perfect for getting attention quickly if needed. I have one for hiking to alert others in case of wildlife encounters, and I keep another with me when skiing in the trees for added safety.The Sonik Blast is incredibly loud and effective—definitely loud enough to be heard from a distance. It’s a reliable tool for any outdoor activity where safety is a concern.

I was a fan of the Fox 🦊 40 Classic but after testing this SONIC I was really impressed. It gives me the volume I need and I think I’ll be getting some for the kids and family to keep on hand as a safety device and for emergencies.

Review of a Lifeguard
So to begin with, I work as a Lifeguard at a Recreation Center that has both an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. This whistle is my go-to weapon of choice for the job. It is EXTREMELY loud, I have gone completely deaf for a few seconds after using it in a confined space (don't do that, please) I can get someone's attention from any distance and can slice through any other noise in the area. The only thing that bums me out about it, is durability. While overall it will last longer than a standard or classic Fox 40 whistle, the volume is reduced with use over time. the main issue being the rubber chew guard on it. I will admit, I do have a slight chewing problem and it affect the volume after a while as anyone would expect. But as soon as there is noticeable wear on the chew guard, there is a difference in how easy it is to get the most out of the whistle's performance. Other than that issue (and if you don't chew up your whistles after a while then it wont be an issue) the whistle is flawless and is worth the money. I would highly recommend it to any lifeguard even if they have breathing issues or asthma.
