Sciencey skincare that feels amazing AND is cruelty-free!
FactorFive Anti-Aging Cream fights the five visible signs of aging. It promises to (1) minimize wrinkles, (2) lighten dark spots, (3) increase firmness, (4) enhance thickness, and (5) smooth the surface of your skin. That’s a tall order, but FactorFive just might be able to deliver. The skincare line was developed after years of stem cell research. FactorFive scientists harvest Adult Stem Cells that have been stimulated in a laboratory setting. Those cells become the main active ingredient in their anti-aging products. The recharged stem cells encourage your own cells to start important regrowth and replenishment activities, leading to younger-acting cells and a more youthful appearance.I actually received a full-size bottle of this product, rather than the trial size listed here. I haven’t been using it long enough to be able to see obvious visible improvements in the condition of my skin. What I can say about it is that it feels amazing! This cream is so light and smooth-feeling….It’s a pleasure just to feel it glide across my face and melt into my skin! My thirsty skin has been drinking it up, and is happily hydrated for hours. This product is made in the USA using ethically sourced human stem cells and stem cell technology, and there are no parabens, no mineral oils, no sulfates or phthalates, and no urea, DEA or TEA among its ingredients. (I actually don’t even know what those last two things are, though.) Most importantly to me, this product was not tested on animals and is 100% cruelty-free, proving that science and compassion are NOT mutually exclusive. Yay! By the way, the bottle this product comes in is kind of unique and ‘sciencey’. It feels good in hand and looks really cool. But it also has a pump guard—a small piece of plastic that fits into the hole of the pump dispenser. That guard must be removed to dispense the product. I have never seen that type of protection before, and I thought the pump was broken until I figured it out. It isn’t very obvious or noticeable. (See photos.) If you are having trouble dispensing the cream, check the front of the pump. This cream is VERY expensive, but it feels amazing and seems to be chock full of stuff my skin loves. I really enjoy using it, and I definitely recommend it if your finances are loose enough to afford it. This trial size would be a great way to test it before investing so much money in the full-size product. I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!

growth factors, science backed, human stem cell conditioned media at top of ing list
I have delayed this review for awhile so I could get as much experience with this product before writing about it. I truly wish I could try the whole system: eye cream, serum, and cream, as it is very interesting with science of growth factor signaling. Products using growth factors have increased greatly in recent years. They're not cheap. But can be the icing on the cake for great skin care. This is the cream. This is the smaller "travel" size, enough for me to try out for 4 weeks of daily use if using a light hand. I think it would spread better over a serum, and I think it needs to be topped off with a heavier more rich cream as I do not find it moisturizing at all for my dry face. However, it does absorb completely with zero grease. Thin, dense cream. Feels super gentle on skin, does not irritate. Faint, non lingering scent. Mildly citrus? Fresh anyway. Not headache inducing. Not strong. When it comes to growth factors, I only look for and use products with science backed research, which FactorFive can attest to. Further, they have a comprehensive website with loads of information (inc informative blogs). I am disappointed that that info isn't included here. I also make a point to keep acids out of the same routine. Acidic environments can break down growth factors, so don’t pair them with vitamin C or alpha hydroxy acids. I always apply on a fresh washed, slightly damp face then allow it to fully absorb before topping off with anything else. I tend to like to use a variety of products, so it has been a small challenge in keeping the routine I use this in very simply. I have had some wiggle room as I am more of less spot treating.Because I wanted to make sure I had enough to cover 4 weeks of use, I have been using it primarily on spots I want to see a positive change. I think I would need the larger bottle to cover my whole face (neck & chest) to cover at at least 4 weeks of use. So my spot treatment has been primarily at the corners of my mouth, and around nose, upper cheeks, chin (kind of an inverted triangle has been my area of focus). I have left my forehead, neck, lower cheeks, and chest alone. I also have redness from rosacea (type 1: redness, visible veins). I can say for certain that I have noticed a more even look to my skin on a day to day basis (rather than sporadic), as well as an ever so slight less depth to the lines at the corner of my lips (they look like stretch marks, and I am trying to figure out what it going on there). Just a smidge less..weird. And so for that it makes me wonder what more the addition of their other products can do. I have an eye treatment I like a lot- holy grail for me at this time (Deciem-->NIOD/FECC)- but always open for next best thing. My skin: mid 40s, dry, clear but with redness, robust supple skin with minimal lines-- trying to keep it that way for as long as possible. Use your SPF!I don't rate on price- everyone has their own budget. I aim to try to explain the product and my experience with it, and you can decide if any of it jives for you. It might be worthwhile to try their mini kit (mini serum, mini eye, mini cream) if you can find it, or just jump in and splurge on all. I see serums as more concentrated product, so if I were to select just one to try to start, I'd be inclined to start there. I haven't tried the serum, but I would like it. Anwyay, whatever you choose be consistent with use.More info:"A hydrating cream shown to visibly improve signs of aging such as redness, wrinkles, tightness, thickness, and texture.
