Mazda (N3R1-14-302) Oil Filter Cartridge

I run this on my 2011 STI. Tokyo roki make an excellent filter. Same as the black Subaru filters. Slightly bigger too.

This is the exact OEM oil filter for the S2 RX8! It comes in the Mazda dealer packaging as well, you shouldn't have any leakage as long as you aren't overtightening the filter or accidentally double stacking the filter gaskets, always double check. The cost is great at $13 a filter, I prefer the OEM filter over any other aftermarket filter options.

We have used this filter for years. Have 09 Subaru wrx/sto. Good quality filter. No leakage issues. Works great.

When I bought my Subaru the seller was a real wizard with Subarus and he recommended this filter. I change my own oil and I don’t need any tools. I just hand tighten. I’m a gen x lady and just recently learned to do this. It’s so easy. The filter is very high quality, sealed, well packed, and simple to use.

As you can see by the rest of the reviews, this is an original Subaru Japan part. I've only ever owned WRX's, so I can undoubtedly confirm 02-14 WRX/04-21 WRX STi fitment. However Subarus are lego cars, global platform as they like to call it, and this filter probably fits a ton of other models(like a Legacy GT). If you can find out if your OEM filter is the same part number as the aforementioned WRX's, as long as it clears your headers (physically fits down there, it's slightly taller than the US blue one), it should be no problem. This filter is vastly better than the blue US Fram filter, and probably costs the same. So if you can confirm fitment on like a nasioc I highly recommend it.

I run these on my Subaru EJ25 motor. The guys on Bobistheoilguy did a tare down and determined these are really great filters. Also the bypass valve is correct for the Subaru motor. Subaru used to sell this model of filter at their dealership until they switched to a new supplier. I'm at 205k on my 2006 Legavy GT and it's always had one of these filters on it.

I use it for my Subaru WRX STI 2016.It fits great and should work better, than the OEM filter.But beware of using tools to tighten this thing up, the metal case is very thin and will deform easily.So tighten it by hand only.
