Any one thing can go wrong and thats where I feel a majority of the bad reviews for this product stem - people dont know ...
I went with this replacement screen when I cracked my original, I've also replaced my wifes iPhone 5 screen so I've had some experienece.Right off the bat, you need to take your time when replacing these. Any one thing can go wrong and thats where I feel a majority of the bad reviews for this product stem - people dont know what they're doing, rush it and cut, crimp, bend, or break something. You will need to remove things from the original screen like the metal backing, clear plastic camera hole, rubber piece for ear slot, wire mesh for ear slot, grounding tape (attached to original screens metal backing), etc. Any decent youtube video will tell you this. If you want your replaced screen done properly, do this. You will need to add a straight edge blade to your tool arsenal, doesnt need to be sharp but a box cutter blade is ideal for working the screen out of the housing (just above the headphone jack is the place to work the blade in between the housing and the screen). Then use the provided plastic tool to work around the edges to fully remove the screen.I wont lie, even with experience, after putting my new screen in, I had blue lines show up initially, I went back to the screen connections on the motherboard and rechecked them. After loosening the metal plate a bit the screen worked fine. I tightened it way too tight, drive them in so they're snug, not like they're keeping the wheels from falling off your car. You will also need a work area to keep track of all the little pieces, if you have parts left over you did something wrong. Also, when fitting the screen back into the housing, run your fingers down the side touching the screen and housing, with slight force, do not push on the middle of the screen! What I didnt know - restart your phone after completion to ensure the finger print reader on the home button works! This thing is very sensitive and any loose connection will botch it. Not realizing this and figuring I did something wrong, I spent way more time then I shouldve troubleshooting...This screen worked like a charm for me. Becareful, watch a couple youtube videos, and good luck!

Avoid
Despite the plethora of negative reviews on this listing, I decided to take a chance and get this LCD to replace the broken glass on my friends iPhone 5s, boy do I regret that decision. At the beginning of the repair I was hopeful for this replacement, it seemed high enough quality and all the components hooked up to the LCD/Digitizer were going into place nicely, but the problems started as soon as I started putting the screen back in. It would not fit in the case right. either the bottom or the top would stick out about 1mm no matter what way I placed it in the case. Whatever, that's manageable, but once I powered the phone on, the real problems started. The touch screen is hardly responsive, and when it does respond the touches register as ghost touches (you press the 3 on the password keypad and the phone registers a 5). Some quick googling revealed that some of the Chinese made screen replacements don't have tape covering some connector related to the digitizer, I thought that was it for sure. So I opened the phone back up and the part in question indeed did not have tape on it. After covering that up, and putting a bit more electrical tape on the ground plate for the front components, I thought it would work for sure, wrong again. Once powered back up the phone was doing the same exact thing with the ghost touches and hardly responding. Well, looks like I'm out 25 dollars for this piece of garbage and my friend is out of a functioning phone until a new lcd comes in the mail. Thanks BestZHL

I was worried..... But IT WORKS!!!!
I needed a new display for my iPhone 5S. Didn't really want to go to the Apple Store and drop $120 so I figured I'd try a less expensive approach first. It is not easy picking a replacement display on Amazon as it appears there is a 50/50 chance of getting one that works. It comes with the territory though. Aftermarket replacement parts are often unpredictable. I received this in 2 day shipping. Just got it delivered this afternoon by FedEx. Took about and hour to install. DEFINITELY WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEO'S ON REPLACING THE SCREEN! I do notice a ****slight**** difference in color of the colors. I mean VERY slight. However, I just went into display settings are set the display to "high contrast" and it changed it ever so slightly to look just like a brand new OEM phone. Works just fine. No dead spots. Screen touch is responsive just like new. This does come with a mini tool kit. If you are looking for a nice display and want to save some money vs. visiting the Apple Store then I recommend odering this replacement screen from BestZHL. A+++

Screen and digitizer work but missing important pieces
The screen works, the digitizer works, the quality seems good so far.But it did not include some of the little plastic or rubber bits that would have helped. There was nothing to hold the front camera in place, there was no speaker grill for where the earpiece speaker is, no rubber holder for the earpiece. I was mostly able to take these bits off of the original and transfer them over but it was a huge pain especially for plastic that held the front camera in place since it was glued in. A small piece stayed stuck in the old screen assembly, but I was able to salvage enough to hold the camera. Took a long time to get the camera in the right place and not too low (the camera lens kept getting partially blocked and screwing up the image). If the various rubber and plastic bits were included with this assembly it would have taken less than half the time for my screen replacement.

Screen came apart after just over a month
I've purchased and installed several iPhone screens and normally have no issues. This screen only lasted a little over a month and it has begun to separate. Of course it is past the 30 days to return and I don't see a warranty listed so I'm assuming there isn't one. Now I have to tell a friend she has to purchase another screen? I'm not too happy about that!
