Perfect pocket size knife with all the bells & whistles!
Böker makes some really great knives & this is my go-to tactical pocket knife. It's the perfect size to clip into any of my jeans or shorts. I am a female so the size of the knife is important to me. This has a glass breaker which actually works, for I've tested it several times. It also has a seat belt cutter, which I also tested on an old back pack strap. It's best to cut at the same angle of the blade. It is just as sharp as the regular Tanto blade. The thumb release for the blade makes it fast & easy to deploy. The serrated part of the blade is a great bonus feature! Depending on how much you use it, check the screws on a regular basis to make sure they haven't loosened. A Torx screw driver will be needed to tighten the star shaped screw. The first time I ordered this was from Böker USA's website & it came with a mini Torx. The majority of multi-tools or compact magnetic screwdriver (with the various sized head mounts inside the screwdriver) usually include the mini Torx head. I accidentally lost my first one and was really surprised to see them on Amazon & at a great price! I don't think this knife would let anyone down.

Perfect little security knife!
Picked this little guy up to replace my old worn out pocket knife and man of man am I glad I did, it's a beauty! Pros: - Comes razor sharp and so far holds an edge rather well. - Black coating on the blade is holding up very well. - Opens and closes with ease, with or without gloves on. - Gut-hook / Seatbelt cutter is HEFTY and can be removed and sharpened. - Contour on back of blade doubles as thumb rest giving you great leverage and torque. - Window breaker works perfectly. - No external sharp edges so very pocket friendly, and the clip is not overly tight, just right. Con: - If you have large hands you might find this little guy a bit awkward to use as it really is a small knife... I wear a Medium Mechanix Wear tactical glove and it fits my hand perfectly. If you wear a Large you'll probably be fine but if you're hand is any larger you'll probably want to look at the Boker Magnum "Fire Chief" or similar sized rescue knife. Can't say enough good things about Boker / Boker Magnum knives. They're quality knives at an affordable price! By the way, guys, this would be a GREAT little knife for the women in your life... It's small and "cute" (yeah, I about puked when I typed that) and very easy for them to handle... I swear, if this thing also came is a girly color it'd probably be more popular with women than it is with men haha I can't tell you how much the women in my life get a kick out of this thing haha Like I said, they think it's "cute"... Women haha

Small, handy, and non-threatening
This is a great little knife to have around for everyday carry. The only downsides for this knife is the finish. I have no idea what I got on the blade - and it's not like I dipped it in anything exotic or toxic - but within a couple of weeks it developed these water-spot like dots on the blade. I knew when I bought it that I wasn't buying some exotic super-steel, so for the price, it's great. I used this at a bunch of family outings, cook-outs, and swim meets this past summer and it did everything I needed it to do. This mostly consisted of getting into packages but sometimes I used it for more substantial work - cutting nylon cord, for example. The diminutive size means that nobody ever blanches when I pull it out. I have an Ontario RAT folder that I love but it's big and some types of folks get upset by it. With this little Boker Magnum, that's never happened to me. If I have one gripe it would be that it is actually too small. An extra half-inch in length for both the blade and handle would really enhance it. For one thing, you'd have a much better grip on it. As it stands, every time I hold it I wonder how on earth I would ever use the glass breaker. The handle is only about three inches, so you don't have much to get a purchase on if you need to smack it against a window. Just sayin. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and definitely recommend it.

First Boker, not my last
I just received my first Boker knife. A Magnum Compact Rescue. I'm only going to go over my initial impressions. Seeing as the knife is made to be used in an accident to free yourself from a vehicle I doubt (hopefully) I'll ever use it as such. It's gonna go in the glove box and stay there. The good things about this knife are as follows. As always YMMV.... - The price; for less than $14 (currently) you get a stout tool. - The presentation; the knife is shipped in a very nice, foam lined tin with the Boker logo stamped in the top. Very, very nice. I own knives that are four times the price that were shipped in cardboard boxes. Not a big deal but this particular knife came packaged very nicely. - Fit and finish; considering the price this knife is an excellent deal. The materials are nice; aluminum scales, steel liners and a solid liner lock, nice looking pocket clip, good thumbstuds and the hardware is a nice polished silver against the black handle. - Multitude of uses; obviously its a knife, it comes adequately sharp, nearly 50-50 plain and serrated edge, which is dead center when closed and has no play in any direction. The glass breaker is solid and will no doubt perform. The seat belt cutter went through 550 cord like a hot knife through butter. Now the bad.... Most of this is relative to how you feel about knives. -The steel; 440 Stainless. I'm not sure of which 440 variant. Some people think its inadequate or inferior. - Made in China; The dreaded 'C' word. -Only one pocket clip position; Right hand, tip down. If you plan on carrying this knife, hopefully you're alright with that setup. There are good and bad for this tool. To me, the 'bad' isn't nearly enough to detract from the outstanding quality of the knife I received. For a knife to toss in the glove box and hopefully never have a need for, its an A+. For a knife that will handle a vast majority of EDC tasks, while being very low key and non threatening, it's an A+. Wholeheartedly recommend this tool.

Great little knife!
"Magnum Compact Rescue Knife by Boker" I bought this as an emergency knife to leave in my car so I wasn't expecting much especially considering the ~$15 price. Much to my surprise this really is a great little knife, a bit smaller than I anticipated but then I didn't buy it for an edc knife so size wasn't a consideration for me. It seems pretty well made, the grip is textured plastic and feels pretty secure in my hand and it opens almost as fast and easy as my assisted open knives. It has a deep carry clip so if edc is what you plan on using this for it'll be nice and snug (almost hidden) in your pocket. I haven't put it to any "real" use yet but the blade is fairly sharp out of the box and is 440 stainless so rust shouldn't be an issue for my purposes. Speaking of the box, this thing came in a really cool matte black/dark grey tin with "MAGNUM by Boker" embossed on it, much more than I'd expect of a ~$15 knife. The only real issue I can find with this knife is the liner lock. It seems to not fully engage unless you really mean it when you open it and may require an extra push to fully engage if opening it slowly. Other than that I'm very pleased and expect I'll get some good use out of it and may well carry it from time to time 'cuz it really is a cool little knife. EDIT: After some "break in" time the liner lock now fully engages every time with no extra effort. I also tightened the pivot screw just a tiny bit and now there is no wobble in the blade at all and it still deploys very quickly. As a result I've changed my rating to five stars and have nothing negative to say about this little guy and highly recommend it!

Great knife for less than 15 bucks
For less than 15 dollars, you get a knife from a reputable knife maker and an emergency tool. What more can you ask for? Sure it's made in China, but It's a good quality small knife that uses some kind of 440 steel. HOPEFULLY, it's 440C as with most of Boker's budget knives. 440C is decent. Doesn't hold an edge long, but very easy to sharpen. Heck, if you only use it for emergencies and box cutting, this knife is great. It's a good every day carry knife I think, if your life isn't adventurous. Also being that it's only a bit over 2 inches, this knife is legal to carry almost everywhere, and that's another positive. There's no blade play. It's a sturdy knife. One handed opening using the thumb stud is a bit stiff at first, but becomes much easier over time. Belt cutter seems sharp. I tested out cutting some thick climbing rope and it sliced through pretty easily. I didn't have any extra seatbelts lying around. It's pretty sharp right out of the box, but not razor sharp. Overall, I like it. Cons: -Might be too small for people with big hands. The window breaker might poke the palm of your hand. -Textured grip isn't that great. - There could have been some gimping on the top of the knife for added thumb grip. P.S. The torx screwdriver that came with the knife also fits the torx screws for computer hard drives. I was able to get some rare earth magnets out of my old hard drives when the knife arrived.

Great for edc
Wanted for edc, car knife. It's a well made small knife. I think perfect for edc, not to heavy, bulky. Would like blade a little bigger. Good for car if you need to cut seatbelt etc. Came sharp, not razor sharp but sharp enough. In my opinion great for the price. I carry it everyday and will continue to. Would recommend

VERY VERY WELL MADE -- SNUG SMALL FEELS GOOD -- I ORDERED 4 MORE :-)
Wow -- very impressed sharp & feels real solid. German workmanship shows through in many points {EVEN THOUGH NOT STAMPED ON THE KNIFE -- ONLY ON PAPERWORK}-- even includes a wrench for keeping screws tight :-) -- came with a clip that is made for a belt that is thicker than 1/16th of an inch :-) -- besides some hand made knifes that I own, this is very very good --- I just bought 4 more :-) -- just in case they disappear -- not assisted opening, but opens fairly easily & I have not yet added a small drop of oil --- this is perfect :-) --- love it
