Easy to fly kite, very sturdy & great customer service
We bought this kite for the 4th of July vacation for a beach house vacation in Northern California. The kite package arrived in perfect condition and the next day itself. I was very excited to get it as I was going to fly kite after almost 14-15 years !Opened up the package, assembled the kite and we were all set.The kite comes with 200 feet nylon string which is great. It has a very good assembly instructional sheet as well.It was easy to assemble the kite with the instruction sheet, I also think that Impresa should send an automated email with assembly video to its customers, if amazon allows that. That said, I was able to fly the kite within couple of minutes, it was very easy. I was very happy to see it up, up & up ! Remembered my childhood days. The customer service is also great if you have any questions or problems. I emailed them feedback on how they can improve on one aspect of product & they decided to incorporate that into future products - that was brilliant move. Very quick to reply as well.I loved the experience so much that I have been flying kite in nearby park with my family almost every evening when we take a walk :-)I would like to add that my kite got stuck in a tree, twice while flying in the park & I was able to remove it with no damage to the kite - its built very strong !Thank you Impresa for bringing back all my childhood memories & for making such a wonderful product :-)

... years and can tell you this one is a great kite for a reasonable price
I have been flying kites for 50 years and can tell you this one is a great kite for a reasonable price.WHY?1. It's attractive, very colorful up in the sky.2. It has a very adequate tail to prevent "nose diving" to the ground. Flew if for hours and never any dive bond tendency.3. The poles that you assemble to hold it in shape, are not what I would call "heavy duty" but the seem strong enough, better than many.4. Assembly the first time was a little confusing at first, but not after I found the one pole that I had dropped in the sand and re-read instructions.5. The handle and 200' of string are very adequate and works well.6. The little streamers on each side (x2) are a bonus and a cute addition.7. It ships in a clear narrow plastic bag that is EXCELLENT for repacking the kite, string and 4 posts after use; ez to repack it in bag.8. The manufacturer has excellent customer service. [The did for me, when I had a shipping/delivery problem which was NOT their fault … and they still stepped right in ready to do whatever to help me solve the problem which was NOT their fault .. and many posts of people with similar good experience with them on Amazon reviews]9. This is NOT like a dollar store kite that you will soon be throwing away, if you get one or a few uses before it tears up.I got it for my 4 year old grandson and with due care expect it will last years … making it relatively inexpensive and worth the price.10. It looks exactly like the photo shown with it … colorful and nice looking kite.

Great kite but...
I really loved the kite! It's easy to assemble, bright fun colors and it flies so easily! BUT the center bar kept sliding out making the kite come down and the side bars that are sewn into the 2 sides kept sliding up making the kite list sideways! I'm going to try sewing up the 2 ends for the center bar and putting a stitch in the side to see if that solves the problem. If that works I will probably buy a few more to have on hand for grandkids but if not I'll look for something else. I hope it does!

First review I've ever written, so impressed with the quality and reasonable price of this kite.
I ordered four kites for our four grandchildren, ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 12. The grandkids, their parents and us, the grandparents absolutely loved them!!! They were easy to assemble, easy to get them in the air and keep them up! We had a great time with them for hours! We discovered how incredibly sturdy they we're after two of them were caught in huge, tall pine trees. After some maneuvering and tugging, the kites came out without a rip or scratch. We definitely would buy these again and have recommended them to our friends.

Beautiful kite, but the metal O-ring tore out in-flight, so bye-bye Icarus
It's been endlessly windy here for the past few weeks, so I decided to get a kite that I could use to take advantage of the weather.Assembly was easy enough, and it took off into the air without any trouble at all. I had a pleasant first flight, but maybe twenty minutes into it, the right streamer flew off. As I watched it get whisked away, I started "reeling" in the kite. When I got it into my hands, I noticed that the remaining inch of the streamer was horribly frayed, and the other was starting to come off at the base where it was actually stitched on to the kite. Not only that, but there was a hole about the size of a ping pong ball forming at the edge of the left wing. Disregarding it, I flew it again a few hours later, and after about thirty minutes, I watched the kite go higher and higher and the string went slack and fell out of the air. I had no clue what happened, and as I started winding up the string, I saw the metal O-ring STILL TIED to the end of my string. So it ripped out of the flap somehow?? I don't know what went wrong, and there's no way the wind was over 10-15 mph. Needless to say, I am quite upset, and now I have 200ft of string that I'm going to do what with? Knit another kite? It was a beautiful kite (even more so when it was soaring gracefully towards the sun), so I'm disappointed that I'll have to get a replacement.
