This amazing 90 minute Type 1 compact cassette reminds me of when I used them back in my youth. Modern digital music formats ain't got nothing on the Sony HF Compact Cassette, which has a warmth only a quality tape has. And, when it's recorded using a high quality recorder or deck, the level of tape hiss is very low (but not zero). I also used it for taping class notes in college. Because of how inexpensive this tape is, the value for money is very high indeed. I've used this tape model as my preferred tape on the following: GPX CAS 307 PYLE dual cassette deck (yes, the deck I just got yesterday) Sony CFD-S70 Various models from the long discontinued Lenoxx Sound brand Sony Pressman TCM-16 (the portable recorder I had in college), and several Sony Walkman models Several Realistic/Optimus/RadioShack models The Sony HF was, and still is, a fantastic tape. These cassette tapes function fine. I think they may have been factory seconds because of small scratches on the outer case. I bought them mainly to test a vintage tape deck I picked up at auction, but I found it a bit of nostalgic fun creating a few play lists.

I liked the price and the sound quality to my ears is great. If you are associated with music these may not be for you. I own a Sony stereo cassette recorder that records and plays my music perfectly fo me. I also have a cassette player in my car and a large collection of cassette tapes I enjoy listening to.
