even had a contractor with hot crack repair a couple times ) this product is by far the best I have found
Finally found the right product ! Have tried many things ( pourable crack filler, water clean-up caulk tube crack filler, even had a contractor with hot crack repair a couple times ) this product is by far the best I have found. The water clean-up products shrink when drying and crack. The hot crack repair does not get down into the crack, it just forms a film over it. This product is solvent based which should bond better. I was able to apply it down into the cracks with my caulk gun. Shrinkage when drying seems to be minimal with no cracking. Ordering my second case ( I have a pretty long driveway ). Some reviews said they were not pleased with how much crack they could fill with a tube. It's a 10.1oz. tube, it all depends on the size of the crack. Some of my bigger cracks a tube would only last for 3 feet of crack, which tells me I was really getting it down in the crack which is good.

Convenient way to seal up those annoying cracks in your asphalt driveway
Convenient way to seal up those annoying cracks in your asphalt driveway. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure: sealing when the crack first appears prevents dirt getting in there, weeds sprouting, and damage when water oozes in and freezes (widening the damage). I also wanted to stop ants from making their homes in the cracks and then coming into the garage, which has been "bugging" me for two years since I moved in. Works like a charm, although it can be messy. First, clean out the crack or holes and use your dustbuster to vac out any grit remaining. Cut an angled piece out of the tip then slowly pump the caulk gun. Have a cloth or board ready when the material comes out to avoid waste and mess. I used a small putty knife to carefully apply and smooth out the gooey tar-like stuff. When the weather is hot, drying doesn't take long, but I picked a long weekend when we would not be driving over the repairs. Cleans up with mineral spirits. Avoid getting on your clothes or shoes! I am ordering a second tube for future repairs. Good stuff, and beats buying a five-gallon bucket of tar.

Driveway Repair time again, geesh
Every year I search for the ultimate driveway crack sealer. Been through them all. It is June 23rd 2013 here in CT and we are beginning our second heat wave. Late in the day today i decided to apply one of the tubes i bought a month ago to the hot driveway. Goes on great smoothed out with a small 1 1/2" putty knife. A bit dissapointed that it didnt go further but if it works, i'll be very happy. Did not give this 5 Stars yet until i get through the summer. I'll know for sure next springI'll see what happens when i inspect it tomorrow after another full sun bake.I'll probably have to update this review later this summer after i final coat with my driveway sealer.I'll be ordering many more tubes of this stuff over the next month. Hope the price stays stable. One thing i did notice was that it does require mineral spirit cleanup which meants its petroleum based which for ashpalt is a good thing. It smells different that the other cheapie Lowes and Home Depot products i have tried in the past. More of a heavy duty smell??? if that makes sense.I'll keep everyone posted on the results

Beware of misplacing
This is a good product and not Amazon's fault as I have used it before but the package i received was supposed to be in lots of 12 and only 10 caulk tubes were in the package even though the package was factory sealed and clearly said 12 caulk tubs on the package. I am reordering with hopes it was an error. If it happens again I will inform you. Someone at the factory can't count.

A waste of consumer’s money.
I had used the red devil acrylic numerous times until Amazon increased the price 30%. This stuff was not worth the money. I had to heat it hot over an electric heater in the tube to get it to flow. More work and sore hands. It was nigh impossible to squeeze the gun with two hands to get the stuff out. Maybe it’s old stock. Not recommended.

Need more than I expected, but easy to handle and work with, seems to be of good quality
The tube says 55 feet with a 3/8" bead, I figure I got about half that. Like the other reviewers, I'm going to need more than I expected, but if it works, I'll be happy. This is in a caulk tube, but has a slight texture, like a fine cream of wheat, versus a smooth pudding, if that makes sense. I wore old clothes, just in case, but it was easy to handle and work with, once I pierced the top and got it started. I got a metal putty knife at the dollar store, and I won't worry about cleaning it when I'm done.

This product takes considerable time to be tack free, even in warm/hot weather
Several applications are necessary even on thin cracks because the product does not dry quickly and continues to seep down into the crack. Was hoping this was a one time application but it was not.

Works well and lasts a long time.
This material is thick and therefore not easy to get out of the caulking gun (make sure you puncture the seal before you start squeezing!) My method is this: I use about a 3rd of the tube with the caulking gun and then cut it open and use a trowel to fill and even off the material. Good quality; lasts a long time on my driveway. My advice is to fill in the crack and go over about 1/2 inch on each side.
