Great Light...
I've had this light for quite some time. I've been collecting small little flashlights. I'm kind of bored so I thought I would write this review. This light is very well constructed and very bright. I'm not crazy about the batteries that this thing uses. They cost more, but more than that; they aren't as readily available. If you buy them from Amazon you can get a good deal, but you have to buy them in bulk. With all that being said, this is a great little flashlight. This was the first bright flashlight that I ever bought and then I kept on buying them searching for a brighter one each time. I learned a lot about flashlights just by comparing them side by side. I learned that higher lumens doesn't really equal a better flashlight. All of my other flashlights are higher lumens and I don't doubt it because on a really tight beam they are all brighter; so yes in that way they are brighter. But walking down a dark path, what good is a bright tight beam? Not bad, but not great. All of my other flashlights have adjustable beams also. The interesting thing about this Nu Flare is that when you open the beam up on my other flashlights that are brighter to match the size beam of the Nu Flare; the other flashlights aren't as bright when it really matters. Don't get me wrong; I love all my flashlights and they get used more just because I like using AA and AAA batteries more. I recommend this flashlight because it is awesome and I recommend my other flashlights too. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a light whether or not you should buy this one. I have the Nebo Redline, Nebo Redline SE, terralux lightstar 100, icon 50 lumen, icon 100 lumen, 7w 300 lumen mini cree, a 300 lumen cree headlamp, another 300 lumen cree that takes the 18650 battery and this Nu Flare. Hope I'm not forgetting one. Anyhow, all of these flashlights are great and all bright. I'm not selling flashlights or endorsing any of them; I just like collecting them and of course, using them to see in the dark. I always use reviews in making my decisions on buying lights or anything for that matter, so I wanted to give people a real idea of what they are buying, at least in the brightness. Even though this isn't the brightest light it does beat them all if you open the beam to equal the beam of this Nu Flare and that gives you more light in the long run. It's a good light, they all are. If you need a good flashlight and can afford it and the batteries to go with it, then by all means, buy this light already, it will meet your lighting needs very well. Don't always judge a light's brightness by its lumens. Hope this helps...

Ripped Off
How can I review this flsshlight. I never received it. What I got was the standard NuFlare. Nothing tactical about it. No difference that the Rebel 90 for $5.00 less.

focus
I just got mine. The focus won't turn. It came stuck on wide and I can't move it.It seems bright enough, I just wish it would focus from wide to spot. There doesn't seem to be an address for returning it.

Decent flashlight
Too expensive for what it is, but it does give a bunch of light if you need a flashlight. I was just expecting more.

godd value for cost
Very good light for the value, as bright or brighter then the more expensive lights on the market. would buy this light again, only reason I gave it 4 stars is a holster should have been included.

Suberb Little Flashlight!
I have purchased many flashlights before for work. I must have spent hundreds of dollars in the past. This flashlight defies the adage "You get what you pay for". For the price, this flashlight is a powerhouse. It is as light as any double CR123 battery flashlight can be. It is small and easily fits right into your pocket. It does not have any sharp or protruding edges that will get caught on your pocket when trying to extract. It is well made and sturdy. Don't let its size fool you. It is bright, bright, bright! This light can get a oil tanker safely to port in the worst fog. You can twist the knurled ring by the light to go from flood to spot. It is a smooth process. Finally, the on/off end cap switch button is well made and has a crisp action. Oh and by the way, the lanyard is easy to install, but I don't use it. If you need to use it in areas where you are afraid of dropping the light (and therefore losing it), then by all means, put the lanyard on. You can always remove it later very easily. I highly recommend this light.

A shooting star...
...burns brightly for a short time, and then it's gone.I received one of these mini flashlights for a father's day present. It shined very brightly, almost too brightly for some applications. It was used only occasionally for short terms. Three months after receiving it it no longer lights. Both batteries are still at 3 volts. The switch is always in the "off" position no matter how many times it is clicked (no continuity). There is continuity through the batteries back to the inside of the case but it doesn't light up. Nothing on this light is fixable: it was put together but it doesn't seem to come apart. At least it didn't go belly up during an emergency, and with this summer's east coast weather and power outage problems there have been quite enough of those.

Compact light-duty flashlight
In the photos, this light looks like its built like a tank. But the finish feels and looks like paint, not anodized, and the aluminum is very thin. I wouldn't think of this as a "heavy duty" light. There in only one mode- full on. Twisting the head changes the lens from flood to spot mode. "Flood" mode casts a slightly wider, dimmer, diffused beam that, while illuminating a wider area has bands of light and dark that are annoying. "Spot" Mode is slightly better, casting a rounded-square beam with a brighter center, but the beam doesn't travel far before it loses its definition. I'd only use this for indoor uses. For basic or emergency use, this might be a fine light, but I was disappointed with it for all uses but home power outage. If that's all you expect from it, then its fine. Lastly, the CR123 batteries are uncommon and more expensive than AA or AAA. There are many other, more competent lights available that are better than this one.
