Tengo piel atopica y los codos los tenía deshechos. Esta crema con urea es la mejor para zonas resecas. Funciona a la primer aplicación.

For some reason, the first 2 of my right hand fingers are very dry, this crème keeps them at normal level.

I saw many reviews about using this on thick elbow skin or on the soles of the feet (which are great ideas, I need to try that). But my story is a little different and I thought it might give another perspective. I have a scar on my leg that is about the size of a messy grapefruit peel. It runs around the front half of my leg and is dark pink to red with lots of smaller scars around it. Many medical professionals assume it's a burn scar before I tell them what happened. I fell down a large (and very hard) flight of stairs 15 years ago. I broke several bones and had a ton of cuts and deep bruises. The doctors were amazed I survived the fall (probably only because the handrail hadn't been installed yet) and they focused on the breaks, etc. They didn't notice the small puncture wound on my leg. By the time we did catch that little infection, it had spread rapidly. It was right on top of the bone and that was really scary; my leg is pretty handy and I didn't want them to cut it off. I was in wound care for a year, 2-3 times a week...the first time. A couple years later, I ended back in wound care and they had me do EVLT. Basically they put a laser in your vein and slowly pull it out so it burns and kills the vein. This was supposed to help with the wound spreading because the vein was leaky. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. Once that was done, I had 4 skin grafts. These were second only to the EVLT pain-wise. My leg was wrapped up mattress thick for months -- I could only fit into work boots that were a size too big. Once I was released from would care, I was left with a disgusting 6x6 inch scar, the need to wear compression socks every day for the rest of my life, the inability to wear shorts in public ever again (I've considered buying swim pants for when I go to the pool because I know it grosses people out), and this deep dip in my leg from all the years of surgeries and wound care that looks like someone went at it with an ice cream scoop. I hate even thinking about all this, honestly. It's something I look at all the time and will have to care for until I die, and I hate it and the fear it causes me. I spend a lot of time examining it because I am terrified it will open back up and if they can't fix it this time, will my leg be amputated?? The podiatrist (my surgeon) always tells me to keep it moisturized. I don't use lotion so I don't really know what to look for. I've tried dozens of creams and lotions and whatever else looked promising. Most of the time they would just gunk up on top of the scar, so I'd spend like an hour gently removing the lotion out of the rough surface. I would get so frustrated I didn't know what to do and I would give up for weeks sometimes. Then the skin would dry up and flake off in quarter-sized pieces or larger. It's a seriously nasty scar. Then I found this and it sounded different from other lotions I'd tried. Holy cow!! This works wonders. Miraculous. It absorbs pretty quickly and doesn't stick to my pants after application. It doesn't leave any thick residue on the scar. There's still thick spots, but no lotion will fix that. Showering with a loofah is sufficient to exfoliate any old lotion off the scar -- I don't have to spend an hour surgically removing old lotion anymore. It must absorb thoroughly for that to happen. And the scar just looks better overall. Not good, it will never look good. But it looks as healed and healthy as I can imagine. I won't post a picture of my scar. Yeah, I'm a little self-conscious, but I've also seen how doctors and nurses react to it. So you're welcome. :) If you have a nasty scar or some rough skin and you haven't found a product yet that helps, try this. It goes a long way too. I considered buying a second container for the house and leaving the first one in my gym bag, but it still feels full months later. Give this a try. I couldn't recommend this highly enough. Maybe, like me, this is the one you've been waiting for all these years.
