Here is the description people:Honest Amish Beard Balm is created from the finest organic ingredients available. We start with a proprietary blend of hair strengthening botanical infused in a base of Virgin Argan, Avocado, Almond, Virgin Pumpkin Seed, and Apricot Kernel Oils. It is then masterfully crafted with fruit and nut butters (Shea, Aloe, Cocoa, Kokum, to name a few), and hair enhancing essential oils. Subtle scents of Cedarwood, Anise (licorice), and Clove. We recommend that people with nut allergies avoid this product or test a small amount before application. Honest Amish Beard Balm will help soften, condition, dry splitting hairs, and nourish new growth. Our balm is also very conditioning for your skin and will stop the itching caused by new growth and wild rogue hairs. Due to the use of only natural ingredients in our beard balm, separation of the product may occur when exposed to fluctuations in temperature. The beard balm will continue to work as normal; it will just require a few extra seconds of manipulation when melting in your hands. However, to return it back to a smooth consistency it can be melted back down by placing the beard balm in a warm place (direct sun light, in car, heater vent, etc. Do not use open flames, microwaves, or stove tops) Once melted, secure the lid on your beard balm and shake it up, mixing up all the oils. Then allow to cool to room temperature or place in refrigerator for faster solidification. Beard Balm may liquefy in transit USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING. We use absolutely NO man made chemicals or preservatives and NO fake fragrances or colorants in any of our products. Packaged in a 100 percent recyclable tin. Made in The U.S.A. by hand for an honest wage. If you are not 100 percent satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please return it for a full refund. With that said. It explains most of your complaints in the 3% and 7% categories. My review so far:*Consistency is exactly what is expected for balm.*Scent is great and have gotten a ton of feedback from peers and family. Smells great, bottom line.*Stops itching as noted as it gets to the root of your beard. Just make sure you put a little bit on your fingers then rub it around to make it clear, then apply throughout your beard and to the roots of your beard. Important.*I use a beard brush to manage my curly beard and is recommended as I saw complaints in the poor reviews about this. If you have stray hairs, train them with a beard brush and a blow dryer on medium heat, not HOT!Overall, this is a great beard balm! Natural, full of fine ingredients and made in USA. Not sure where the tin is made, but probably Chinese(I would like clarification on this). Looks to be aluminum tin but not sure.In then end for those that say it does not work, opinionated statement and based on your beard type. For those that say use "conditioner" same affect, well, a ton of store bought poorly made conditioners have all type of chemicals and manufactured oils that can dry your beard beyond belief. Conditioner chemicals comprise of Benzyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Propyl Alcohol and Ethanol. Parabens are also used with preservatives that can cause skin sensitivities, so watch out people! For those that say, it melts, changes color, etc., well, place/store in a cool area, do not expose to heat! Its' common sense people, stop giving poor reviews and if you do, you can return for a full refund. This is my first time buying this product and have no affiliation with the product, but when you state what you do in the reviews please educate yourself to substantiate your claims.Review closing comment:*Great product, smells absolutely nice, paste is great and works well in beard in my opinion and many others.Feel confident purchasing. If you do not like it, return it. Really easy folks!

Tamed the rat's nest on my face
I purchased this in the hopes that it would help tame and soften my otherwise wild beard. It was a last ditch effort so I wouldn't need to shave it off for the black tie new years party at my work that I was going to be working. This did exactly that.I was a little put off by the other reviews on this, stating that the smell was overwhelming or that it has a bad texture. I opened it up as soon as I got it. Be aware that it is a natural oil product that can melt in transit to your house. So be careful when you open it. I put mine in the refrigerator for an hour and it returned to normal. The texture is very similar to lotions you get in the same kind of container. That's the best way I can describe it. It also said on the package that it can separate. I haven't yet had this happen, but stirring it with your finger or putting it in the sun and letting it melt will solve that easily. As for the smell, it does have a slight woodsy odor. I like it. It isn't overpowering like some other reviews were saying. Nobody else will smell it unless they are at kissing distance of your beard, though my wife didn't care for the smell, and refused to kiss it. Keep in mind, this product is applied directly to your beard and mustache. You WILL be able to smell it when you put it on. And you will continue to smell it as long as you keep it in. The fragrance certainly lasts a while. This is basically a leave in conditioner. It is not a styling product, though it does have some hold. Mostly it just softens your beard and makes it more manageable. It also helps control fly away hairs and makes your beard look fuller and well put together. It also adds a bit of shine. My beard is naturally red, and it really helped bring out the color.I recommend you read all the instructions before using. It tells you exactly how to use it the way it's intended. The tin is quite small. Don't let that deter you from it, though. Its not a lot for $13, but a little goes a long way. I have quite a bit of facial hair. Just a small fingertip full, about the size of a small blueberry was more than enough. It did not make my beard feel greasy at all. It even says in the included paper that if your beard feels greasy after use, you used too much. It absorbs quickly into your beard and skin. I was wearing a nice dress shirt when I first used it. It did not leave any stains on it, or on my nice jacket. As for controlling beardruff, I can't say. I get beardruff frequently, though I've previously kept it under control with my head and shoulders shampoo. Other reviews say it does, so I'm going to stop using the head and shoulders to see if it works.I've used this both on a very damp beard and on dry. I found it works and absorbs better on a damp beard. When I used it dry, I found it kinda beaded up on my beard and I had to really work it in. I then used a boar bristle beard brush to finish working it through and brush my beard. This product did exactly what it is intended to do, and it does it well. I plan to continue to purchase this and use it regularly. 5 stars! And I definitely recommend this for anybody with a beard, long or short!Edit: I just wanted to pop in and add a second picture. 8 years later I still use this product, and it still works great!

Realy good
Although the product came to me in a small quantity, it is great in quality. The product is creamy and pleasant to apply, smells good. My other product was not creamy or pleasant to apply so the use of it decreased as a result

Smells good and helps the beard look good
Smells great and contains ingredients known to boost the health of your hair. It has a peppery floral smell to it that comes off as masculine due to the licorice and clove. Those oils are known to boost one's immune system, endocrine system, and androgen activity which means it can help you to feel calm, focused, and mildly invigorated. The oil gives my beard a sheen to it that leaves it looking thicker while helping to tame it.
