I read the other reviewer's comment about how the delay in the time you use the marker until the color appears can be frustrating for a 2-3 year old, and that totally makes sense. I get a little frustrated using it myself because I don't know where the color is going to show up! That said, this has been THE BEST investment I have ever made - no joke. I first gave it to my baby when she was exactly 2.5. She liked it, but now a month later (2 years and 7 months), she is OBSESSED with these markers. Would she like regular markers a little more? Probably. But then there is ink everywhere and I cry...haha. No, with these, she's free to use them whenever she wants and she loves how the wonder pads you can buy to go with them show not only color, but also interesting textures and patterns when you color over them. I have had to search down the Jake the Pirates one (!!), after having purchased Mickey first. I like it that the pens are sized nicely for little hands - and at this price, they are really great. They haven't run out of ink yet, despite near constant usage...but I do think they might soon...after giving me more than my money's worth...I'm talking hours. Although I agree with the other reviewer that it might be frustrating for some to not have that instant gratification (me, more than my baby - ironically!), maybe there's a lesson in patience that can be learned (again, a lesson I apparently need to learn myself...), so I guess that's some educational value. If you're kid is older, I bet they'd think it's cool there is a delay - like a secret code. It's strange though but as we've been using them, it almost seems like there is less of a delay??? Or is that me?? It takes about 1-2 seconds from when you apply the point of the marker until you see the color.

So many colors come with it. Good quality. Do not leak. They are half the length of regular markers making it easy for toddlers to use. Works with most of the color wonder paper.

Very easy to cap and uncap. Perfect for 2 year old who loves to color. Make sure to get the special paper to color on.

My 2 year old LOVEA markers but the end up all over the place. These are clean and so much fun! Great color range too! 10/10 recommend!

These markers worked great (with their corresponding magic paper). We bought these for some air travel with our 15 month old and they worked great, however the caps are half the size of the marker meaning you don't get a lot of bang for your buck.

are they more than regular markers? yes. do they last as long? probably not. are they life/sanity savers for parents with "aggresive" colorers or for road trips? YES. they're invisible if you aren't using the special paper (yes, another purchase) but for what you get they're totally worth it. no more cleaning marker off tables, car seats, kids, dogs, couches! if you (i mean your kids) haven't tried these, do it.

I bought these for my 2 year old great nephew. My niece was happy because they only make marks on the special paper. She had been thinking about some drawing opportunities for her little one and was pleased when her son enjoyed the experience with these truly "magic" markers. Be sure to buy the Crayola paper.
