Cal-Van Tools 95200 SAE Dowel Pin Puller

These work great .

Missing the bolt and washer that make the tool work and one dowel pin remover, just happens to be the one I need. UPDATE, Found out that after ordering another kit and getting the complete kit it does not work on Chevy Gen 1 engines. Collets are too small, it may work on newer or different model engines but useless on older Chevy engines.

It came, it hammered, it drilled. It put 15 5/8" holes in the foundation of my house to tie in the addition quickly.

Hands down best idea ever conceived. Make sure you have about 16" of space above the pin axially. It took what I thought was going to be the most difficult part of a job and made it the easiest. If you've spent any time pulling dowel pins from blind holes with vise grips and a pry bar, don't think twice, purchase this immediately. Well... For the price difference, purchase the SAE/metric set instead of this one. I ended up borrowing one and returned the set I purchased. I will be purchasing the complete SAE/metric set next time I need one.

I must admit, I had doubts about whether this product would do what I needed it to do. But, to my surprise, it worked perfectly. The case the tools fit into can be improved to contain the collets better. Thus my reason to give a score of 4 instead of 5 stars.

Used this for a project I was working on - the parts loose their ability to bite after a few pulls. If you only have one or two pins to pull it will work for your project.

This is a great tool. I have been using it to pull the dowel pins out of some Pontiac engine blocks form the 1960s. It works perfectly, even leaving the dowel pins in seemingly reusable condition. Amazon asked me to rate this for stretch, thickness and sheerness, I think they have it confused with a feminine undergarment.

One use of this item and it broke! But when I requested a replacement and sent this one back the replacement work continuously with no problems
