How do you get this to stay? i bought this and love the idea but it keeps falling off. Help

I have some trouble too, what I have found works best is to have the area around the overflow completely dry. Then start the tub flow and just wet the suction cups, not the whole thing. Then I put it around and start sealing from the bottom to the top, working kind of from the very bottom and in both directions until I meet back up again at the top. Sometimes it takes a little to get, but I've found if the area I'm trying to stick to is wet, as well as the suction cups, it doesn't go. Hope that helps! It's not perfect, but I like it when I can get it to work.

When the tub is filling, water pours through the hole on the top. What is the best way to prevent this? Or does it not matter?

It's okay if it does it won't take on much water. I freaked out when I used it the first time. You can also toss a wash cloth over the hole too. This does work. It was nice to actively fill my entire tub all the way without losing water to the overflow

Does it cover the type of drain that has a handle that turns right to left for opening and closing? My tub is form the 1940s

I have an old tub also (1949) with that type of drain with the handle over it and it works on mine. It just barely fits over the handle depth-wise, but it does work. The cover is 2 inches deep, so if you have a handle that doesn't stick out more than 2 inches from the tub surface you should be able to use it. So far it's worked on all the tubs I've had, from old claw-foot to 1960's era "modern".

It Works Great & My Last Lasted Nearly a Decade

This is actually the second time I have purchased this overflow drain cover for our tub. We bought the last one in 2016, and it lasted until about a month ago. One of our dogs was very unhappy with their new diet and decided to take it out on my power cover. With it being completely unsalvageable, I was worried I wouldn't be able to purchase it again. Thankfully, it is still made, and it's the same quality I expected.I admit, I nearly bought one of the fancy-colored ones. The last time I purchased one, there was only clear available, but alas, my husband thought it was silly. Instead, I left with my trust cover. This cover has fantastic suction and stays put throughout your bath. Water doesn't come in at all, which is exactly what I expect. I hope this lasts nearly another ten years!

Works pretty well

Works pretty well, didn’t expect the whole thing to be silicone, I thought the cup part was going to be more solid like a plastic but that’s ok. Has a decent suction, the water from the tub makes it stick cuz of the pressure. Helps wafer rid of that annoying draining when u just want to soak in the tub without losing water

Worth the Money!!

I love these. This is my second one due to not knowing where I placed my last one. These work very well. Purchased it to keep the gunk from coming out in the tub randomly. With all of the movement and splashing my daughter does during bath time, this very secure. I definitely recommend.
