Is this towing hitch suitable for all ride on mowers? mine is a husqvarna cth172. it's about 8 years old.

It is not suitable for your lawn mower. This type is designed for cars and vans.

Is it suitable for an alko 3004 caravan hitch

Good morning, I would say that it probably isn't suitable as the alko 3004 hitch and the likes off usually require a towball with a longer neck to be able to accommodate the bulk of the 3004 hitch head. Kind regards, Henry Kent Trailers

Very useful accessory.

Fixed to the rear of my Kubota F2880 mower so that I could do some light towing. Kubota warn against heavy towing because the F2880 chassis not built for it, but I figured that a light trailer or a lawn sweeper would be fine.
