Encaustics are brand new to me and I love the playfulness they can provide (heat, cool, drip, push, carve, etc.), but they're pricey to work with. I enjoying being sculptural with my work so maybe that's my problem, I go through the tin of encaustic too quick. I should just suck it up, spend the money, make great work, and sell it for Millions! You'll have fun...this was a nice starter kit!

We sent these to our daughter who is an artist, and she is thrilled with them. They are good encaustic paints.

This brand of wax and produsct is the best! Hard to find in stores, though, so the beginner kit is a real value. I wish it had a sample of the XD medium...an amazing product all by itself and my favorite encaustic medium.

shipped quickly, well packaged, bought this for my photographer granddaughter, she tells us that it worked great so even thought I had no idea what this was before it was requested as a gift. my grand daughter says it's great so it must be good.

I really enjoyed trying something new. It was fun and harder than it looks, but I will continue to try until I have mastered it
