good for a person new to BPM
I am fairly new to Business Process Management although I do know that the technology has been around for some time.I found this book to be a huge help in getting to understand the “how” better, along with the “why.” The chapter “BPM Success Manifesto” by Nathaniel Palmer actually put things into perspective for me for the first time. It is clear, concise and gives step-by-step on how to develop a business case for BPM.I skipped over a couple of the more technical chapters and will circle back to them when I know more. The case studies are pure gold – they (about dozen different companies in different industries) really lay out in detail exactly what issues they faced, how they overcame them and their final outcomes. I don’t call this book a major page-turner or a quick read, but I have made lots of notes as I am working my way through. Would certainly recommend it. Highly.

I was fortunate to be given a review copy of this book ...
I was fortunate to be given a review copy of this book before official publication. I have read some of the books in this series in the past. They have all offered pretty good content, but I was totally impressed by the truly solid content in this book. For sure, it is their best book in a long time. The theme “Passports to Success” is pretty consistent throughout the book, but what I liked the most was learning about the failures. The various case studies written by the end-users themselves are surprisingly frank about what worked and what didn’t. These case studies and a couple of other chapters specifically point to things that cause a BPM project to fail. Some honest eye-openers. I’ve been in BPM for a while and I still picked up several pointers that I intend to apply in my own work. Nice work guys!

A useful and full of examples reading for any person involved in automating and managing business processes.
I agree with most of the positive comments on the book, and I'd like to point out two big benefits that I found:1) A great BPM introduction, especially useful for those newbie’s in the discipline, but also for experienced process people looking for an up to date.2) It is great to know how real problems are solved in different countries of the world. It gives you a wide view of the discipline and several niches where it helps. In sum, I think it is a really useful complement for any person involved in automating and managing business processes.

A great book, definitely recommended
I contributed the chapter “BPM empowers the Digital Enterprise”. People in my team are now reading the book. We are in the BPM business. They are all very impressed with the detailed information. For example, the chapter on “BPM Success Manifesto” alone will remove any confusion you have about how to present a business case for BPM. Definitely recommended by all in my office.

Well written and straight to the point
Well written and straight to the point. The award-winning case studies in this book detail how we can benefit from their experience, inherit their wisdom and share in their knowledge. At the same time, they also share their experiences of what not to do, giving us the unique opportunity to learn from them.

this is an excellent book. Easy to read
I am a contributor to this book, and my chapter is titled, "The Top 5 Reasons Why a BPM Project Fails." I've been reading the other contributions and I have to say, this is an excellent book. Easy to read, and some really great lessons in BPM.

This is the best BPM book I've yet to read
This is the best BPM book I've yet to read. It's not just theory, it's full of real case studies by real BPM experts. As a B-2-B writer myself who has written for this market I found it immensely enlightening and educational.
