Compact, stylish, affordable, and functional aren't what I expected to find when searching for a way to use all my USB-A connectable devices on my new MacBook Pro 13", but that's exactly what I found. While somewhat light in the hand, the aluminum body is somewhat impressive and though not perfectly matching the aesthetics of the device you're most likely going to be using this for, ie: Apple laptops, it certainly doesn't feel out of place. What attracted me to this particular device and not other dongles or adapters, is that it has no cable for the ..dongle to dangle from. I've had many devices and cables fail me over the years because of overuse and overbidding of the cable, so that's something I definitely wanted to avoid in an accessory I plan on using for the long term. Just plug it in and it works, no fuss included. Charging my laptop through the USB type-C port has worked just as well as using the port on the computer itself, and the USB type 3.0 ports all work as well as advertised. The SD and MicroSD slots are a definite bonus as well. If there is one thing I'd be wary of is it's travel endurance. I'm a photographer so I'm expecting to take this dongle with me wherever my laptop goes as well, so the lightness of the build does give me some apprehension - putting it in a small cloth case such as the kind you'd store dice in should be sufficient for protecting it in your bags and pockets. While it's tempting to just leave it in your laptop I absolutely do not recommend you leave it inserted while transporting your computer in a bag or backpack. This device may fit snugly against the body of a MacBook, but there is still a bit of wiggle, which could result in damaged ports if stored inadequately.Even with those minor worries and less than premium feel, I'd wholly recommend this product, at the $19.99 I paid for it. I doubt I'll need another USB hub for quite a while.

Typical to mediocre for a hub, does the job of expanding accessibility of legacy peripherals and devices.This hub is considerably darker than the images imply, the hub is “Space Gray”, don’t rxpect a color match with Stainless.The blue LED indicator is too bright and seems unnecessary…only serving to drain battery faster
