BuBinga Cufflink/Jewelry Case

This is the 4th style of simulated wood case I have purchased to store my cufflinks. There are areas on the other three cases that suggest that the veneer my be a high quality printed material, rather than actual thin strips of wood, when examined carefully. That may also be true with this box -- I'm not completely sure -- but it has the most convincing wood grain look of the 4 styles. The lock on my case works fine ... not quite as smooth as a high quality lock, but certainly acceptably well.On the downside, the 24 pair cufflink capacity is highly overstated. An individual row (8 total) will accommodate two pair of contemporary sized cufflinks, or 3 separate vintage sized cufflinks -- for a total of 16 pair of contemporary links or 12 pair of vintage links.The most troubling design flaw of this case is that the rows are not deep enough for my cufflinks with longer posts. The main body of these cufflinks don't rest comfortably on top of the black velvet(?) lining, as they should. Rather, they are situated above the lining, which is clearly not ideal! My solution was to place my fingers at the bottom of the rows and separate the adjacent rows of cushions, thereby exposing some of the glue and other materials at the bottom. While this worked, and you can't see my manipulations once I moved the rows of cushions back into place, I shouldn't have needed to fidget with the rows at all! It would be easy to fix this design flaw, and I hope that the manufacturer might get enough feedback to eventually do so! If the case weren't so attractive, I would have rated it much lower because of the shallow rows.

I wish it held more. The trays come out, so I thought it would hold more underneath them. It doesn't. I'm not sure why they even come out. But it is a nice looking box and well made.

Great quality, wish it had a little room under the removable trays for a watch or passport, but other wise very pleased.

key does not work

Lock escutcheon plate didn't line up with lock mechanism, key would not work. Basic quality control should have caught this. Oh well, the case looks nice...
