Beautifully rich inks!
These inks are truly beautifully rich. The colors are vibrant and consistent. The thickness of the ink is perfect and you can get a lot of uses out of a set of jars this size.

Vibrant, versatile, nice presentation, nice to mix and blend and good price.
I bought Henry Collection pack and love the vibrancy of colors. I bought them for painting and nib pen and modern calligraphy. I was hoping I could use them for lineart before watercolors but, as you can see in the video, all of them (except for the black) bleed. Brown doesn't bleed too much, so it can work if you are careful not to brush heavily on top of it. Things I really loved is that you can mix them to create new colors, you can also blend them while applying (like the green/blue/yellow on the leaf of the video) and they can dry as smooth blends (although it dries fast). When diluted with water you can create soft pastels which are still vibrant. The way they look reminds me of copic markers, so I will use them as a cheaper alternative. Because of all the uses I can give to them (painting with them similar to watercolors, or for calligraphy or even instead of alcohol ink markers), I would definitely recommend them. Also because of how pigmented these inks are. I have noticed that some reviews mention that a bottle leaked. In my case, it was sent to NY, then it traveled to Finland and my inks arrived in perfect condition. I'm really happy with them!

Gorgeous n
These inks are stunning! Not just the gold and silver but the black and white are also smooth, opaque, and flow smoothly. They don't bleed and they dry down quickly. The gold is more of a glitter consistency and is very rich; the silver is very smooth and fine, with no glitter to it but a satiny shine. Very impressed- I'll be recommending these to friends for sure, and trying the rest of Winsor and Newton's drawing inks.

The emerald is blue!
These are very nice inks but I’m telling you, I bought the Henry collection and the emerald is straight blue, maybe I’m tripping, pretty sure I’m not. Also someone said these inks aren’t for fountain pens, dead wrong, use em for whatever you want. :) just make sure you buy an extra green if you get the Henry collection.

Ink-credible
Winsor and Newton drawing ink is, in a word, incredible. This is one of two sets, but aside from both having black their colors are a bit different. I believe the Henry collection pack has slightly darker tones and more secondary colors while the William collection is brighter. Both sets are boldly colored and will definitely pull their weight while drawing with them. Regarding the ink itself, it's dye-based and has a range of applications. You can do line art, paint (ink?) in colors, use a dipping pen for writing (do NOT use a fountain pen, it wasn't made for this kind of ink!), and if you're daring you could also mix the colors together for new combinations. If you need a light tone, simply thin it out with water. All colors are water resistant once they're on the page, so they will not be smearing easily. The ink dries reasonably quickly, doesn't bleed, and its transparency allows for colors to be layered on top of one another for added depth. My only gripe is that neither set has a dedicated light skin tone (the image used Copics for that instead), but it's just a nitpick. If you're serious about drawing with ink, Winsor and Newton is definitely worth the price and a brand to keep in mind. Inktober may be over, but I believe I'll still be using these inks for a long while.

A truly great ink set
The colors are all lighter and brighter than expected. I love their little sturdy glass bottles as well. Black is included in this set, which is great if you don't have that yet. This is really more of an all in one ink set due to that inclusion. Colors goon clear and easy. The mixtures are clear of debris, even after heavy use. Make a palette once you get these to really get a feel of the color. The yellow is very gentle. The brown is surprisingly warm and pops very well. The violet is deep and exciting, as is the magenta. Black is the classic rich and near opaque that ink artists are used to. Green is okay. Applied in layers, though, it is fantastic. Far and away the best ink in the set is the orange. It is my go-to in the set. If you have any interest at all in buying this, if you are down to your last dollars and are thinking of buying this, then BUY IT!

Excellent inks
I used these inks on Arches Watercolor paper and I can honestly say that I am quite pleased with how well it looks afterwards.

Disappointing colors.
Henry Collection Emerald is not green, it's intense blue. Canary yellow is a watery beige. Other colors are nice. For some bottles you need a pair of pliars to get the cap off.

This is a great way to enter the world of artists inks. If you've never dabbled before, then be assured that the colours offered here, and the quality of the ink will not disappoint. Firstly, the outer packaging itself, though relatively flimsy, is enough to keep everything together in transit. But the bottles themselves are great - slightly wider at the bottom, and squat enough to reduce the risk of tipping them over in use. The inks themselves are incredible. The vibrancy and consistency of the colours is mind blowing. It really will take your art to another level. They can be used with a dip pen and/or applied with water as a wash. Using the 'wash' technique opens up a whole world of possibilites. They react well to different ratios of water offering a very subtle colouration, all the way to the supremely vivid. the colours also layer very well, allowing you to build up value or blend shades. From loose, washy sketches to fine line pen and ink drawings, these won't let you down. And, finally, for those worried about the 'value for money' given what seems like a small amount of ink per bottle - don't worry about that. You'll use very small amounts of ink to achieve the desired effect. I can imagine these lasting for a very long time to come.
