Super convenient lightweight resource for Japanese language learners
Handy reference! I've been taking J classes on and off for ages. When I return to learning, this chart serves as an organized reminder of grammar, number system, essential vocabulary. Without plowing through textbooks, dictionaries, or even the google translator, this lightweight notebook-sized (with 3 holes) resource is perfect for learners of Japanese at all levels.

Handy Chart...Get Out Your Reading Glasses
If you are looking to increase your vocabulary, this is a quick way to add common words and terms such as counters, colors, foods, body parts, etc. All entries include English, Romaji, and Hiragana or Katakana. There are no Kanji references. Also, the subtitle mentions Simple Sentence Patterns. I didn't see any of those, but there were short adverb phrases. There were also several misprints/errors. One was incorrect Hiragana where the Hiragana did not match the Romaji in the Specific Time section and the other was a bizarre notation in one of the Adverbs To Express Extent section. One major complaint with this chart is the size of the type. It is monumentally minuscule. You will definitely need reading glasses or a magnifying glass if you want to read the Hiragana and Katakana properly. For a quick study session, this is a fun tool.

So glad I got this!
My son is learning Japanese in school using level one of a well-known software package (named after an Egyptian artifact) and this matches PERFECTLY with the vocabulary it teaches. Highly recommended for beginners like us.

Very Useful Cheat-Sheat
This item is one of those things you don't NEED, but it's very useful to have it. It came fast and was well packaged. It has most of the things you'd want to have on such a cheat sheet (weather terms, counting terms, good and bad, you like or don't like something, clothing terms, dates and times, etc). There are some things that are not here that I think would have also been useful but, of course, I understand that space is going to be rather limited and they probably had to be choosy about what they added. It's laminated, trifold, and can be placed in a three-ring binder (and can still tri-fold even when it is). If you're trying to learn Japanese and want something fast to skim over and refresh your memory of the every day basics, this might be something to look into buying!

Handy Guide for Beginners
I gifted this to someone and they love it. It's a quick-study reference and guide (as listed), very basic, and it's laminated so it can endure lots of handling and remain looking great. My gift recipient wanted to begin slowly, as learning a new language can seem daunting at first. He keeps it nearby, to repeatedly familiarize himself with the vocabulary. Although basic, it still contains a lot of information, front and back. The guide is about the size of a sheet of paper (see listed dimensions) so it's not for sticking in your pocket on-the-go; it's certainly not a problem, just a heads up for a potential buyer. :)
