Rather, they give off a lovely soft glow).I needed some shelf lights for ambience, not for reading or illuminating or finding things in the dark, and these lights are perfect for that. They're plastic, a good size that doesn't overwhelm the shelves or power-wash the surrounding area in light, and you can tap the top of the light to change colors. It comes with a remote that allows you to select from a bunch of colors too. They charge via USB-C to USB-A cable, so I got a cable that splits to 4 USB-Cs and can charge all the lights at once.Speaking of that, the orange-y, candle-y color shown on the box and in my picture is not a color you can tap the candle to get. The included remote gives one-press access to it however, along with a host of other colors, and allows you to adjust brightness and set a sleep timer.The default white is very bright, and the only real negative I have found is if you have them set to a color and turn them off via switch or the battery dies, they will default back to that white; they don't remember what color you had set unless you turn them off and on with the remote. That's a minor issue though and doesn't bother me.For the price, I'm very happy with them and may get one more just to round out the look.

I love this night light! I am having a baby in about 4 weeks and I have very limited space for now Until we move. She will be kept in our room for the first few months, and I needed a night light for night feedings and Changes so I don’t wake her father with the overhead light when he has to work the next day, but I have no room for a night stand next to my bed to put the light on so I got a corner wall shelf and put it on there but I have to maneuver around her bassinet and the rocking chair to get to the corner of the room, so I keep the Night light remote in a caddy that hangs from my mattress. I love that I can just grab the remote from the pouch hanging from my bed and turn the light on without having to maneuver my way around in the dark or even get out of bed really. I love that you can adjust the brightness of the light (I believe there are 4 different brightness settings) and also choose from 13 different soothing colors. I have had it for a few weeks now and use the light every once in a while and have not yet had to charge it. The only thing I am not too keen on is the fact that it only comes with a USB charger so as far as I know, I can only charge it using my computer, not the actual wall outlet. Other than that it’s great!

I turn this on when I go to bed, I use the timer for 2 hours, that allows me to read or do what I want to do before I fall asleep. I wake up and it is off. I love all the colors. It works really great for what I need.

My granddaughter loves this. It's just the right size for a nightstand or small space. Lots of features and easy to use. However, it needs to be charged after one night of use, that's why I have it 4 stars.

Very cool, wish they had these when I was little. We love it!! I will probably end up getting a couple more for gifts.

For $15, you can’t go wrong with this thing. I got it to have a light on for my infant son (he sleeps in our room in his bassinet) so that I can see when I’m feeding or changing him but not so bright that it wakes up my husband or over-stimulates baby. Previously, I had a red light bulb in my lamp, which was just SUPER bright. This is a perfect alternative! I also love all the different colors. So when I’m trying to get him down fork the night with a book reading, I use the white light dimmed. And when I’m done reading, I just click it over to the red light on full brightness. It’s perfect! I will say the remote is a little misleading. It displays different shades of red... but they’re more like yellow and peach. The greens are more blues and the blues are more purples (minor issues). But I do like the other options too, like a strobe effect and fade, etc. - and also a timer (1, 2, 4 and 6 hours). Perfect for what I need it for and at a price that doesn’t break the bank!

On a lonely, dark, dreary night I set this upon my window seal. I know she will see it and I know she will come. Alas, the tree branches swaying in the wind make me forlorn. Keep my head up, I tell myself; it's only a matter of time. The frozen wasteland inside my head will not afford me peace on this cruelest of nights. Where is she? Why has she not come? But wait!! Who is that knocking? I rush to the door with child like glee and anticipation. I throw the door open only to find that old, evil tree wrapping it's wicked branch upon my door. Cruel world, why does thou hate me so?
