Sound quality
Works as advertised. I have a Yamaha receiver with preamp but wished to use the fluance preamp. Good quality sound. Make sure not hook up to phono input on receiver if it has a preamp built in.

Vinyl Has Never Sounded Better
I have been listening to music, vinyl in particular, for 65 years, and am completely blown away by this Fluance preamp. The clarity, separation and soundscape is incredible, a most worthy addition to my Fluance turntable.

I don't know how other pre-amps work. There are a lot of suggestions out there, but I went with this one because I bought a Fluance table. It sounds great to me!

Great sound for the price, simple but quality
Was pleasantly surprised how good this was. There was plenty of punch in the base and the high's were nice and clear. The mids could be a little stronger, but for the price, it is a great value. Big improvement over the project Phono pre-amp it replaced (the project died...) Would recommend and purchase again.

Amazing!
Exactly what I needed for my vintage Technics turntable! I was considering spending money on a new receiver due to the fact my Sony did not have a phono input. Upon a little research, I discovered that I only needed a phono preamp. This was just the ticket! The ease of hooking it up, solid construction and most importantly…..the great sound! Fluance RT 85 finally sounds PERFECT!
I had the Fosi audio tube phono amp and have been fighting with it for a long time. Nothing against the Fosi, maybe just not compatible with the Fluance tt. But I was always experiencing lots of rumble, hiss, etc. and in excessive amounts. Tried everything and with the great reviews of the Fosi just thought possibly I had a bad turntable or something. Grounding was perfect, etc. Still SOOOOOO much rumble .. and my turntable is not close to my speakers. Finally decided to try the Fluance phono preamp and the difference is unreal! Absolutely amazing sound! Using two Sonos play 5's with sub...
