really good!
i've bought multiple spindles and so far have only come across two duds. burning takes a while, but that is as expected due to the fact that it only writes up to x6. discs play wonderfully once they are burned.

A very, very good BD-R DL disc. Don't waste anymore time looking at other disc and buy these.
These BD-R DL discs are amazing. Some very good quality when it comes to burning using these discs. I have used roughly 115 of these and only have 4 failure to complete writing errors when burning them. I have not had a single issue with them playing in my Sony bluray player at all. No artifacting, digitizing, skipping or pausing and then jumping forward. With these you will be able to back up anything digital you own that isn't the cloud which could be erased with out your consent or a hard drive with mechanical parts that could stop working. And from personal experience these things hold a ton of photos, A TON. Like other reviewers have said I would check to make sure your bluray burner can burn these disc before you buy. I had no problems with an LG burner I bought 3 years ago. A very high quality product which I would recommend and will keep buying for my own use.

Always TEST your discs in a PLAYER!
I know it sounds more or less like something you should always do. And when I say test, I mean, after the writing software has finished 100% successful & has verified contents of the disc, then finally spits out your finished BD-R/BD-R DL disc. Now, I have 5+ years experience with writing BD-R media, and over 15+ years regarding DVD-R media & the hobby in general. I’ve never had a disc successfully finish burning without any errors, and pop out 100% verified only for all 3 different kinds of Bluray players in my home not be able to load the disc WHATSOEVER!THAT IS, until I ordered a 10pk batch of these dual-layered discs. I had 2 of the 9 I’ve used so far do this exact same thing as described above. And now that I think about it, the only time I’ve had issues with any brand/size of BD-R media is when the discs are logo printed/branded on the top. I’ve never had issues with any matte white inkjet printable surfaced media. And I think I’ll be going back to them exclusively. But again, you STILL should test them in your standalone Bluray player just to be 100% sure they read, even if they make it thru the entire writing/verification process your PC runs the disc through. Your player and/or PS3/4 still might not recognize it as a playable disc. :(

Better than Verbatim!
I only use Pioneer brand writers since 10 years ago, and right now I am using the older BDR-206.With BDR-206, I have used Verbatim BD-R DL 6x but so far 4x can burn through successfully every time (Windows 10 built-in burner program) but it still grinds a long time half way when switching from layer 0 to 1. Nero would give up easily there. Burning Verbatim with the built-in program at the rated 6x was a shockingly low 30% successful rate. When the burning was successful, data read back is verified good.Optical Quantum 6x, the result has been amazingly perfect so far. The Windows 10 built-in defaults to burn at 8x, which realistic burn time is no different than manually setting to 6x. No matter 8x or 6x, there is no loud grinding sound or long pause when switching layers to test my nerve. Surprise, surprise, this Optical Quantum 6x is better than Verbatim 6x at a cheaper price! Burn with more confidence!

Great discs just don't use them for long term storage
I've used literally over 5000 of these BD-25s and BD50s for backup purposes at work. What I've learned will hopefully save someone out there a lot of headache and/or heartache over data loss. These discs, and all discs (except M-Discs), are NOT meant for long term storage. They use a partially organic dye that WILL begin to erode over time, corrupting the disc and losing all of the data stored on it. You can write the disc, place the disc in a case, put in on a bookshelf and never use it again and it will still fail eventually. Others have posted photos of what this looks like in their reviews so I'm not going to. The point to learn here is DON'T store ANYTHING that you don't want to lose on a disc (except M-Disc).These come with two different types of dye. There's one that's a blue/purple color and another that's gold in color. What you want is the gold. Those last A LOT longer than the blue/purple dye. The problem is you never know what type you're going to get. I've had the blue/purple dyed discs begin to erode in just a couple of months of no use. I have yet to have a gold dyed one fail and many are over 10 years old but I know it will still happen eventually. The BD-50s are more likely to have gold dye than the BD-25s.For what they're meant for, short term storage, they work great. Just don't use them for long term storage because you will lose everything you have saved. It's just a matter of time.

Porduct as advertised
Used on older /slower burner so burn process was painfully long. burn only 2 so far, no errors. These media tend to be overpriced, possibly due to low demand.
